"Citipati was on the big side for an oviraptid, but just you wait and see. It has a long neck, a short skull, and that uniquely tall head crest, a bit like a modern cassowary. Several specimens show them brooding over their eggs, protecting them from the sandstorm that did them in, proving that these beautiful birds were good mothers, not just egg thieves."
