D Flip-Flop

Description
A D Flip-Flop is a circuit that remembers its state. It takes an input "D" when the clock transitions from off to on, and provides an output "Q". The floor button in front of the entrance door is the "D" input while the pedastool button is the clock. And of course there's a bit more to this puzzle than just the latch.

Noob Difficulty: 8/10
Actual Difficulty: 2/10

Note: Trying to race the button's timer will not work. It's the definition of an "edge-triggered" latch.

Edit 1: Adjusted the layout of the left room to enhance visibility.

Edit 2: Made one of the unintended solutions harder to execute.

I agree with PDX's comment; it's an interesting showcase but ultimately so hard to parse that I just sort of guessed how it should work, and it didn't really contribute much to the puzzle.

Noted.

I liked the puzzle part of the map, and the latch was a cool concept, especially since it was achieved in PeTI. However, for me at least, the fact that the inner workings of the latch were visible made it harder for me to grasp the simple functionality of the latch.

Yup, that's intended.

I see you've removed a portal surface, so perhaps this is your intended solution ?

Thanks for playing, and exposing an unintended solution that I missed (which is now harder to execute). The other unintended solution cannot be fixed.

As promised: is this your intended solution ?

It's been a very long time since I last played around with a D-type flip-flop  I'll make a walk-through video later to check.
