Description

Warning: Any mod adding new creatures requires a new world to be generated, otherwise they will not spawn (since they were not generated as a part of a world's population).

Creature description
A gigantic red-scaled flying reptilian creature. It is magical and can breathe fire. These monsters can live for thousands of years. Their scales are akin to metal, and can be used to produce tough and light clothing and armor.

NB! This mod acts as a replacement for vanilla dragons, and makes vanilla dragons disappear.
That is done by adding "[DOES_NOT_EXIST]" tag to vanilla dragons, making them disappear from play.

Red dragons from this mod have iron-like scales, that can be turned into "red dragonscale" clothes/armor, a true reward for killing and butchering a dragon.

Their nails and teeth are also metal-like, very sharp and can cut through armor. They can also fly.
- They are also not targetable by traps!
- They are also no longer "item stealers", so they don't run off with a sock as soon as they spawn.

Other aspects of vanilla dragons remain the same.

Creature population
Megabeast

This is based on one of creatures from my old Genesis mod. I've decided to release each creature separately, so you could pick and choose what you want.

If you like the mod, you will make me happy if you rate it and share it with your friends. And remember, Losing is Fun!

This mod simply adds a new creature (with related bodyparts and inorganic materials). It needs vanilla materials/bodypart definitions to function.
It also makes vanilla dragons non-existing (but produces no errors in game log, since the creature is there, it is just marked not to spawn).

Also, what about adding the other D&D classic dragon colors? White, black, blue and green? Greatest mod ever! :steamhappy:

Your mod would be even cooler if the red dragon was intelligent by default, maybe adding compatibility with Wyrmtongue would even allow it to rule over civilizations. Or maybe this could even be built into the mod too?

@leonardodiasm probably not, since Wyrmtongue adds properties to vanilla dragons, and this causes vanilla dragons not to spawn.

Is this compatible with Wyrmtongue?

Playing adventure mode and being caught in the open with your pants down by one of these is a nightmare lol

Correction to my previous comment: Do not put this mod higher in the load order than Vanilla Creatures!!! lol!

They will still both spawn in the same world, though. My current understanding is because of the MEGABEAST tag still spawning Vanilla Dragons in the world. But I haven't tested that yet.

I rather like these guys. I added the Power token to my local version so they can rule over civs and religious orders. I had to give them Intelligent as well so I think that prevents any taming, but as mentioned in the description I think their real value is in their scales.

Also, I think you need to put this above any Vanilla Creatures in the load order in order to turn original Dragons into Does Not Exist. Otherwise you end up with both.
