PokéWorld adds species of Pokémon from the first eight Pokémon generations to RimWorld, each with their own unique characteristics akin to the original games.

Try and catch as many of these Pokémon as you can to fill up your Pokédex, battle against other wild Pokémon and raiders to gain experience and level up your Pokémon, who will learn more powerful moves and eventually evolve to grow ever stronger!

Unlike your regular RimWorld animal, Pokémon can't be tamed by simply having your colonist walk up to them. Instead, you'll need to use specially crafted PokéBall belts to catch these Pokémon. But be careful! Most of them won't let themselves be caught without a fight!

Once caught, you can choose to assign your newly caught Pokémon to a colonist whom it will follow and protect, or let them rest in their PokéBall until it is later needed.

Pokémon aren't the only new addition this mod adds to RimWorld. Keep your eyes wide open when mining in the dark caves, for you might stumble onto rare treasure among the rocks, such as rare evolution stones, or, even rarer, ancient fossils buried deep for eons. Who knows, with the right tools, you might be able to bring these fossil back to life.

Once you start learning more and more about these strange creatures by filling your Pokédex, you'll eventually find yourself on the track of exceptionally powerful Pokémon, only ever heard of in myths and legends.

Finally, although it is only just a rumour, it is said amongst the ancient tribes living on this planet that some individual Pokémon can show a very rare coloration, similar to the shine of a bright midnight star.

@Procrasturbator Easiest way i can think of is just give them scaria and make snag balls cure it

now i just need this to be for 1.6 so i can make a starter group with ash, brock, and misty.

Im thinking pikachu, onyx, and golduck... or staryu(? the unevolved one, i always confuse them)

Give me some ideas and i might make some scenarios and upload them.

Could make like Pokemon green, blue, red and yellow.

definitely gonna make one like the GC games if this ever adds a snag ball and maybe even only a few shadow pokemon. unless you can make a "disease" that simply darkens the sprite and makes them crazy lol.

I just came here to say that, there was some people requesting RimPikmin to have a patch with Pokewolrd. A patch has been released and hopefully it should work together now.

This mod would be perfect with the gravship dlc. Being able to raid orbital strongholds with my pokemon teams would be epic

Partially incompatible with Lucario and Riolu Race; they work fine together if Lucario and Riolu Race is above PokéWorld in the modlist, but loading PokéWorld first instead causes the pawnkinds added by the other mod to have human heads, which is extremely jarring. It also seems to break their names, so that the first and last name are crammed into the "nickname" slot together, which makes the game display the full name at all times. Why these things happen is unclear to me. Anyway, the bugs don't occur if this mod loads later than the other. As far as I'm aware no other "add a pokemon as a humanlike" mods have this compatibility issue, but I admittedly haven't gone out of my way to test them all.

hi @something_smith I may be interested in doing this depending on how much work it is. a bunch of stuff in VEF changed and with the new Odyssey biomes and weather conditions I need to add some more things to PokeWorld Enhancements. feel free to let me know the details on that mod's page

I would much prefer if pokemon used mechanitor mechanics - pokemon are assigned to pawns, using a bandwidth-like resource. Pokemon max level, experience gain, max bandwidth-equivalent and command range scale with Animals skill and additional pawn traits, which could be called things like Ace Trainer.

waiting 1.6

I would love to see somebody update the compatibility mods that allow Pokemon to spawn in modded biomes! I cant do it myself, unfortunately, but I've noticed Pokeworld mods being updated for 1.5 recently, and I'm hopeful.
