Description
THIS IS A UNFINISHED PROJECT THAT I WONT BE WORKING ON ANYMORE BECAUSE LIFE GOT IN THE WAY.

People have been asking for the Hivemind remake for a long time, I am not working on it anymore so I figured I would release the unfinished version just so people can mess with it and have fun, this mod has some bugs but the general gist of what the mod was supposed to be is there. Everything in the description is in the mod, cut content was fully removed. I may answer questions about cut content though.

Located in "Hivemind Reborn"
Adds a bunch of Snpc's that work and think as one.
The infection system has stages and several mutations.
The Hivemind has an anger level, the effects of it's anger can be shown through the infected in the world. They will adapt, get faster and get more aggressive the higher the Hivemind's anger rises.
The Hivemind's anger level will rise when certain things happen. (infected dying, infected being burned/crippled, etc...)
The Hivemind's intelligence will rise when an infection happens, this will only rise once a certain threshold of anger has been passed.
---NPC INFO-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage1 infected - The first stage of infection. The beginning symptoms have started to show. Hair loss, skin damage and eye bleeding followed by a ravenous bloodlust. They are no longer mentally human.
Stage2 infected - The second stage of infection. The body has mutated and the internal organs of the infected have started to liquify and reform, allowing for a "puke" attack. This attack will launch bloody and acidic infected fluid at a target, causing infection and damage.
Stage3 infected - The third stage of infection. The eyes and face are overgrown by a cancerous growth. It cannot see, but it can gather location info on targets from the Hivemind's other infected nearby. It is on the verge of mutating.
Melted - A stage 3 infected who has died and mutated severely, It's body is melted to the floor with infectious biomass violently sprouting out. Touching it will cause an infection.
Leaper - An infected who's legs have adapted and mutated to become stronger and more powerful. They are agile and can jump large distances to catch prey.
Pureborn - A crude amalgamation of infected flesh. Formed from pure biomass and bodies that are not in good condition. It can shape itself into any form it desires.
Seeker - An infected who can become completeley invisible. Seekers will stalk prey and kill them whenever they get the chance.
Shove - A variant of Seeker that will taunt and mess with prey, but it will never kill.
Vampire - An infected who can revive itself shortly after death. Vampires will absorb blood and biomass from corpses and use it to regenerate and revive themselves. Vampires are extremely weak to fire and will usually die within seconds.
Speak No Evil - An infected who's vocal cords are damaged. It cannot make any noise exept footsteps.
Grenade Runner - A Grenade Runner is a basic infected who picked up a grenade. Grenade Runners can't be spawned, but they can be created by a common infected (not puking type) picking up a grenade from the floor. Grenade Runners will charge at targets and explode, causing a powerful blast and igniting anything nearby.
---CONSOLE COMMANDS-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
reset_ragelvl - resets the Hivemind's anger
check_ragelvl - check the current anger level %
check_intelligence - check the current intelligence level %
chart_ragelvl - shows a chart detailing the percentages needed to advance levels
dmg_ragelvl - shows a full chart detailing the % gain certain damages cause
ragelvl0 - sets the Hivemind's anger to level 0 (default)
ragelvl1 - sets the Hivemind's anger to level 1
ragelvl2 - sets the Hivemind's anger to level 2
ragelvl3 - sets the Hivemind's anger to level 3
ragelvl4 - sets the Hivemind's anger to level 4
ragelvl5 - sets the Hivemind's anger to level 5
ragelvl6 - sets the Hivemind's anger to level 6
worldscream_begin - initiates the "worldscream" event. This will immediately elevate the Hivemind's anger to extreme levels (far above level 6). NOTE: a worldscream event won't occur naturally.
hivemind_corpse_fade1 - makes it so infected corpses disintegrate after death, this is to help with lag. (WARNING: SOME FEATURES MAY NOT WORK PROPERLY WITH THIS ENABLED)
hivemind_corpse_fade0 - turns off the corpse fade command.
hivemind_lore - displays some lore.

----Misc Details & info---------------------------------------------------------------
Infected can eventually mutate into later stages, usually through getting kills and infecting others.
Every infected is connected to a single mind. This mind will influence the infected on the map to achieve better infectivity and better adaptations.
The Hivemind's mind will adapt and grow to become smarter and deadlier. Large scale outbreaks are beneficial to it's evolution.
When Infected mentally communicate information, their eyes will bleed.
Special infected can sometimes drop samples on death, these can be turned into cures using the Manufacturer.
Seekers will mostly target and stalk a single person, wait for them to be seperated from the group and then take them out. Although this doesn't always happen and the seeker can just ambush an entire group instead.
Seekers will go slightly invisible from time to time even when not properly stalking.
You will know if you are being watched by a Seeker based on the noises they make. Seekers may be invisible, but they are not silent.
Antlions will usually avoid infected.
Just because a Leaper is crippled doesn't make it unable to jump, it makes it even harder to hit.
A vital hit will instantly put an infected down. A body shot has a random chance to hit a vital.
Antlions can be used to detect invisible Seekers.
Leapers will be stunned for a bit after hitting a wall. They can also sometimes trip.
Most basic infected take fall damage. An infected's legs have a random chance of breaking from fall damage. The material of the prop/item they fall on plays a role in how much damage they take.
Leapers do not take fall damage.
Vampires can't adapt to fire, they will burn and die very quickly.
Most common infected can use weapons and grenades they find. Although most won't actually fire guns (Depends on the gun and Infected).
If an infected has a melee weapon (Crowbar, Stunstick, etc..), they will gain knockback/damage buffs. (NOTE: Only base game weapons can give buffs).

---THE CURE-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are cures to the Hivemind in the entities tab.
There are several variants of cure, some work better than others.
The basic/makeshift cures can be dangerous to your health, but they have a chance to cure the Hivemind infection inside your body.
The more advanced cures are better and less dangerous at curing the infection.
Cures can be created using the Makeshift Cure Manufacturing Machine. This machine chemically breaks down Hivemind samples and turns them into makeshift cures.
These cures can then be refined into more stable and safer cures using the Refiner.
The manufacturing machine will reject anything that is not a sample (special infected can sometimes drop samples).
If the manufacturing machine recieves certain incorrect items, it will recieve damage and eventually explode.
Manufacturing machines can be damaged and destroyed.

Does the infection system not work since the vj base was updated? I had a melted infect a citizen and wait 30 minutes but nothing happened

I understand you rather focus your other things and your lack of motivation, but fixing just the errors that are cause by a miss direction of the gibs models doesnt seem hard and would be the major thing, changing directions isnt hard and it would be an amazing doing of your part.
