Simple Autocannon

Description
A deliberately simple weapon made to figure out the structure the game wants.

  • Based on cannons like the Bushmaster III, bofors L/70, and NS-37, with a bit of extra detailing to make it looks like it belongs in game.

  • Replaces two of your starting missile launchers, and is unlocked for production at tank cannons. It doesn't give you extra free stuff, as it takes the space of some of your normal free stuff.

  • Deliberately basic. This weapons main claims to fame are being extremely light weight and moderately capable against medium armored aliens, while having significantly lower DPS the the other kinetic weapons. It should encourage a little bit of thinking to use, but not be too game changing.

  • The infographic image included roughly summarizes its performance compared to the vanilla cannons.

  • Overwrites no base game strings, so it should be compatible with other mods that change the language of the game or add content.

Thanks for KiberKreker and SkaianDestiny for game API support, and finding a way to add strings to the game in a way that doesn't overwrite the games base language ini, as well as how to fix the sound array OOB that happens with weapon mods.

Reuploaded because the update mod function in game could not find this mod on the workshop for some reason.

Fishing in the api for what I need but I should be able to include an optional audio bit eventually soonish i hope.

Yeah thats why I was trying to fish through audio libraries for something like the bushmasters sound last time I got distracted and forgot about it because its a very fitting gun and there has to bee good non-copyrighted recordings of its blast.

Highfleet has plenty of those, Although I'm not sure if those are copyright protected. Copyright might not even effect steam workshop items as far as I'm aware.

I'm fishing through audio libraries as we speak its absurd how long I've been taking, uh, I was thinking something in the 35mm through 76mm lineup, like the 70 to 120 rpm guns muzzle blast.

I have a lot of cannon sounds in my mp3 folder, Do you want them to be echo(y) and what not?

Yeah I got pinged on discord earlier this week, I'll toy around with what sounds right soonish its just the game has an interesting soundscape so this will likely take a few tries.

hmm later on in playthrough there is no such error... strange.
Though if i go back to my backed up save when i encountered the issue its still there.

So either my save is somehow broken or it only onccures in very specific situation.
(i dont have other mods installed)

Tested that myself, I didn't have an issue making or using a size+ autocannon.
