SMS Meiningen 1910

Description
Brief Description:
-This is a pre dreadnought light battlecruiser. This is a German vessel hence the SMS at the beginning of its name. Has several battle cannons all around the ship. A very powerful and fast vessel. I recommend 2-3 people onboard but any amount of people is fine.

Why the Re-upload:
-In short, while doing more research on the First World War and navies of the countries involved I had found that the original SMS Meiningen (Now named SMS Meiningen 1902) was very inaccurate in terms of the deck layout, guns, and the overall look of the vessel.
-I had also gotten many many many! complaints about the guns on the original vessel and sought to fix it.
-Rather than updating the already existing ship I thought it was better to upload the new version, thus to keep the old one in records as there really is nothing wrong with the vessel.

Startup:
-Set Throttle to 90 (On bridge)
-Turn on Coolant (In engine room)
-Turn on the engine (In engine room)

Sinking:
-To sink the vessel you can press the Scuttle button found on the bridge. Fair warning the sink may take long if watertight doors are closed.
-A fun way to sink the ship is to do naval battles with friends.

Other Remarks:
-Engine was built by Spacething! Go check out his builds. He has planes, boats, trains and more!

-Must be spawned in the addon editor.

-Why I made this? I made this because as of recently I have been captivated by the First World War and specifically the Navies of the nations involved. I always felt like Germany has been unfairly targeted as "the bad guys" and thus nearly all ships are British on the workshop. I wanted to make something different that nearly no one offers.

-Infinite Fuel or Electric is NOT Needed!

SMS Meiningen Lore:

In 1902 the Germans created the SMS Meiningen. Upon first glance it may have seemed like many of the other German vessels built in the pre dreadnought era. However, a further look into its story uncovers that it was a truly legendary ship. This is that story. To learn about the SMS Meiningen tale we must first go back to 1870. In 1870 the North German Confederation unified with the other Germanic states such as Bavaria and Wurttemberg. After fighting and winning the Franco-Prussian war in 1871 Germany fully united creating the German Empire. An empire which would last until 1918, but I'm getting ahead of myself. In 1888 a very ambitious and strong leader came to power in Germany. He is the famed Kaiser Wilhelm II. Kaiser Wilhelm II took great interest in the navy, and specifically competing with the British Royal Navy. This caused the naval arms race in the late 1800's to 1914. In that time each nation was attempting to one up each other. It was at this time that Germany began designing the Meiningen class vessels...
The Meiningen class vessels were designed to be over 100 meters long and have several 8 inch guns. In spring of 1901 construction on the vessel began. The Meiningen would be one of the most powerful ships in Germany at the time it was built. After completion in 1902 the Meiningen was stationed in New Guinea, a colony in southeast Asia. In 1906 there was an engine fire which prompted the ship to go in for repairs in Wilhelmshaven. The ship was even toured by Admiral Scheer in 1910. No other major events occurred until 1914. In 1914 The Austrian Duke was assassinated in Sarajevo. In the following months there was mass mobilization across Europe. This war would put the High Sea's Fleet to the test. Immediately in 1914 The SMS Meiningen attacked and sunk the HMS Endurance killing around 650 sailors. The story of the Meiningen's conquest was used in propaganda by the British. The Meiningen was brought back to port where it would stay until May of 1916...
In May of 1916 Germany had been largely winning the war on ground. However the Entente powers had blockaded Germany causing mass starvation and a lack of resources. The Germans planned to trap and destroy a portion of the British Fleet. On May the 30th The Meiningen along with all the German High Seas Fleet left Wilhelmshaven hoping to come in contact with a small portion of the British Navy where they could then destroy it. While the plan sounded good on paper it failed to predict that they would come in contact with the entire British Navy, which they could not defeat. Admiral Hipper left Wilhelmshaven where he hoped he could lure a portion of the British Navy toward the much larger German fleet controlled by Admiral Scheer. Hipper led his ships into battle against Beatty's vessels. Immediately the German Navy begun winning the battle, sinking the HMS Queen Mary. Unfortunately the success wouldn't last long as the entire British Fleet was still well on their way into battle...
The SMS Meiningen was apart of Scheers much larger fleet which met up with Hipper's. At this time the rest of the British Fleet arrived on scene. The Germans realized the danger they were in and immediately turned around desperately hoping to escape the situation. The Meiningen was in the front of Admiral Scheers line and upon coming in contact with the British was hit with a shell on its port bow. The Meiningen desperately tried fleeing turning hard to port. A very disorganized German Fleet was in front of the largest Navy in the world. Scheer realized the situation and started bringing his ships back to Wilhelmshaven. The Germans were chased by the British the entire way back. The Battle of Jutland was the largest naval battle of the First World War. The Meiningen despite its damage sailed back to Wilhelmshaven where it could under go repairs. The Meiningen would not sail for the rest of the war. The First World War ended in 1918. Germany required to give all of its ships to the British. The German ships were escorted to Scapa Flow where they would be given. In Defiance a German commander ordered all of the ships to be scuttled including the SMS Meiningen. On the 21st of June 1919 the SMS Meiningen sank peacefully in the English waters.
