"The Beaver" was conceived by Arc Industries in collaboration with the Colonial Frontier Defense Initiative (CFDI) to address the growing need for a versatile patrol vessel on the outer edges of human-controlled space. Named after an encounter with industrious creatures resembling beavers in an asteroid belt during its maiden voyage, the ship quickly gained a reputation for adaptability and resilience.

During its exploration of the asteroid belt, The Beaver's crew marveled at the ingenuity of the creatures constructing intricate habitats from asteroid debris. Inspired by their industriousness and the need for such qualities in deep space, they christened their vessel "The Beaver," symbolizing its role in safeguarding frontier colonies and navigating the challenges of the unknown.

The Beaver is a vital asset in the defense and exploration efforts of the Galatea system. It patrols remote outposts, responds to distress calls, and supports scientific missions in uncharted territories.

The Beaver is assigned to investigate anomalies and protect against pirate raids in the asteroid belts.
