Description
"It's time to get serious!"

The first reploid, and the last of Dr. Light's creations, Maverick Hunter X has arrived into Smack Studio!

GIMMICK 1: VARIABLE WEAPON SYSTEM
He can change his Neutral Special using his Down Special into separate Maverick weaponry.

GIMMICK 2: GLIDE
After Side Special or Down Special, holding up will yield a glide for a brief moment.

A: COMBO
Deliver a fast combo.

SIDE A: BLADE ARMOUR
Slash forwards on a wide angle; press up or down to change the direction of the slash. From Mega Man X6.

UP A: WING SPIRAL
Uppercut that shoots a small gust of wind upwards. From Mega Man X5.

DOWN A: CRYSTAL WALL
Raise a crystal pillar from the ground. From Mega Man X8.

DASH A: FROST SHIELD
Sculpt a strong ice shield that deals great knockback. From Mega Man X3.

SIDE STRONG: EXPLOSION
A powerful yet slow explosive blast. From Mega Man X7.

UP STRONG: SHORYUKEN
Use the second armour and perform a flaming uppercut. From Mega Man X2.

DOWN STRONG: DOUBLE CYCLONE
Releases two horizontal cyclones left and right. From Mega Man X4.

NAIR: TRIAD THUNDER
An attack in three parts; first create three metallic orbs around himself, which generate an electric barrier around him, which is finally unleashed above and below himself. The longer this attack is out, the more landing lag it has. From Mega Man X3.

FAIR: TORNADO FANG
A small, yet potent drill attack. Fast falling will make it drag the opponent down. From Mega Man X3.

BAIR: BLADE ARMOUR COMBO
Two fast slashes; the first is longer and wider, while the second one is shorter but drags the opponent inwards. Armour from Mega Man X6.

UAIR: SHADOW ARMOUR SLASH
A wide slash that is great at juggles. Armour from Mega Man X6.

DOWN AIR: FALCON ARMOUR DRILL CRUSH
A downwards stab. Armour from Mega Man X5/X6.

NEUTRAL SPECIAL: X-BUSTER
Chargeable attack that can fire a single buster shot of varying power, up to two powerful charged shots. If the shot was charged up to at least the third level, it can have many follow ups depending on the input:
Attack: X unleashes his potential and strikes at the opponent, lunging forward and punching. Useful for following the opponent and aggressive play. Based on Maverick Hunter X.
Special: Use the Third Armour and the Z-Saber and shoot out a saber beam. Most useful for keeping the opponent away.
Shield: Use the Falcon Armour and fly forwards. Faster than the Attack follow up, however it deals less damage and covers less ground.
Jump: Use the Gaea Armour and jump up while pushing away opponents. Can only be done on the ground. Gains super armour for the duration of the jump, making it an effective anti air.
Taunt: Use the First Armour and perform a true Hadoken. Strong projectile, however it has a smaller vertical hitbox compared to the Special follow up and has slightly more startup and endlag.

SIDE SPECIAL: NOVA STRIKE
Equip the Ultimate Armour and perform the invincible dash attack. It has long startup and endlag. As long as X has the Ultimate Armor, he gains super armour. From Mega Man X6.

UP SPECIAL: X-FIRE
Knock the opponent up with an ascending flaming slash, then dive downwards. From Mega Man X Command Mission.

DOWN SPECIAL: VARIABLE WEAPONS SYSTEM
Open a menu and change the weapon utilized in Neutral Special from the following options:
X-Buster, the default.
Spin Wheel, a fast razor wheel that travels through the ground and can strike foes multiple times. Great at controlling the ground and gimping opponents. From Mega Man X2.
Speed Burner, a flaming dash. This one cannot be followed up with any of the input specials, however it's a fast movement option and with great versatility. From Mega Man X2.
Lightning Web, a stunning web that can keep opponents in place while dealing good damage. Hard to hit with, but helpful for capturing enemies and setting them in place. From Mega Man X4.

GRAB: STRIKE CHAIN
A really far reaching grab, although with a slow recovery. From Mega Man X2.

FORWARD THROW: GAEA GIGA ATTACK
Strong forward throw that sends the opponent far away, using the Gaea Armour. From Mega Man X5.

BACKWARD THROW: COMMAND MISSION ULTIMATE ARMOUR
Shoot the opponent with a gattling buster and launch them far away. From Mega Man X Command Mission.

UP THROW: HOLIC ARMOUR
Use the Holic Armour and just throw the opponent up. From Sound Holic's X-Buster.

DOWN THROW: CHARGED THUNDER
Smash the opponent into the ground. From Mega Man X3.

GET UP A: ELECTRIC SPARK
Release two walls of electricity both left and right. Great coverage. From Mega Man X1.

EDGE A: FROST SHIELD
Summons a tower of ice. From Mega Man X4.

ULTRA: ULTIMATE NOVA STRIKE
A fully invincible, devastating flying strike. Can be used to recover off-stage, and it has the highest KO potential. From Mega Man X8.

SIDE ULTRA: HERMES BUSTER
Shoot a giant laser that ignores shields and deals a great amount of damage. The most range out of all the Ultras, however its power is just above average. From Mega Man X8.

UP ULTRA: LIMITLESS POTENTIAL
Catch an opponent into a devastating combo, using many of his armours in the combo. Strong vertical knockback. Uses (in order) Mega Man X4's Ultimate Armour, X6's Falcon Armour, X3's Third Armour, Dive's Dante Trigger, X7's Glide Armour, X6's Shadow Armour, X4's Fourth Armour, Command Mission's default armour, Dive's Dive Armour, X5's Gaea Armour, and X1's First Armour.

DOWN ULTRA: ICARUS BUSTER
Shoot a barrage of three-way shots. Has the most damage potential out of all Ultras, however the opponent must be point blank, and the KO potential is not as high as the Nova Strike. From Mega Man X8.
