Description
Here is my submission for the Eastern Euro Comp!

This is a fictional Russian Local route run by the Adelanto Rail Corporation (ARC) that branches off from the Trans-Siberian Railway.

Features
  • Skybox in most locations
  • Detailed landscape
  • Signals wired for AI operation
  • And More!

The route
This route extends from the city of Adelanto, to the city of Gauge, making 3 passenger stops along the way at Fork, Commerce, and South Gauge. Gauge is the terminal, and location of ARC's head offices. The route has a medium size freight yard at Commerce, and a bit of street running in Kayjev. The ARC interchanges with the Trans-Siberian Railway at Adelanto, where freight from the line goes to elsewhere.

Operations
The railroad does scheduled passenger service, with four trains in the morning, (2 each way), two midday (1 each way), and four trains in the evening. There is mild freight service on the line, with only one consistently scheduled freight train, the Crop Turn. The Crop Turn originates at the Yard at Commerce Station, usally consisting of ARC's two freight motors and one industrial flatcar, and travels to the farming areas in the Valley. It travels along the line, and goes and stops at short platforms. Each farm has its own trackside platform, where farms load there crops into sacks, with the help of the train crew, on to the flatcars. Farmers signal to the train crew that they have crops by waving flags, and sometimes a second flatcar is added to the train in peak harvest season (early Summer). This all takes place in the early hours of the morning, usually around 5 AM. When the train has picked up all the crops, it continues to Adelanto, and it gets sold to near by distributors. Then, the train crew returns to the farming areas, and pays out the money to the respective farmers. More mainline freight is handled by two second-hand DX locomotives. Industries served are the many industries near Commerce Station, and some on the freight line ( Not included in this release. May be added in the future. )

Train Control
There are three dispatchers along the line, one at Gauge, which controls signals up until South Gauge, one at Keyjev, which controls signals for Commerce, Kayjev and Fork, and one at Adelanto. There are two sets of signals at each station, and they are either only red, or green. These tell the train when to depart, so, when the dispatcher sees that a trains time at a station is up, the dispatcher changes it to green. The dispatcher at Keyjev is in the corner building on the top floor, overlooking the tracks, while the dispatchers at Adelanto and Gauge are in the old Interlocking towers.

Great layout and really nice detailing! :)
Maybe you could put that cool map you made (and potentially some of the info about the layout in this description) somewhere on a wall ingame.
