Any progress in the bot renaming process? Happy new Year!

@SwankyTroll i've been meaning to look into that! my understanding is that it's somewhat programmatic, so this approach to changing the names would only change the "Bot" part, and the number would still be automatically incrementing.

there's another naming mod out there, did they maybe get more heavy-handed and actually make changes to the naming system? if so, they might be doing bot naming and it's worth finding out!

is there a way to add the names to the bots too?

Namely that this mod is simpler, purely set up to replace the existing name pool. I haven't personally used the other mod as it came around after I published this one, and this serves the need to swap out names without messing with any game logic. ☺️

How does this differ from Name That Beaver? On that mod page it makes it clear that it has two modes; one in which it repeats the custom list, appending generational numerals to differentiate... and one in which it assigns names out of the list and then, when the list is empty, returns to the default namelist.

I ask because I'm looking for a kind of middle-ground. I'd like the custom namelist to be pulled from first, but if the names are in use I would want the default namelist to be used. If one of the names is no longer in use (as in the beaver dies, ideally of old age) the name is assigned out again.
