M/S Superspeed 1 (Car ferry)

Description
The long awaited Colorline is finally here. Now you can become a ferry captain in stormworks. The route is between Sawyer and Meier. with simple controls but with realistic handling and speed.
My goal with my ships is to take a real ship and recreate it in Stormworks as accurately as possible. I learn new techniques with every ship I make, and the difference in detail between this and my Fjordline is huge. I have used hex codes to get the colors as accurate as possible. This time, the ship is also weathered to make it look more realistic. I been looking at marine traffic pictures of the ship and studied the lights so the lights on the outside should be correct. I used fewer lights to improve FPS.

Sink the ship
There is a sink button onboard, located on the static PC in the bridge in the left corner of the room. Set the waves to 70% minimum and push the button.

Best experience
Have the game set to low physics.
For me I can't have youtube for example running in the background on the other screen but that may just be me.
And full screen helps too.
Start a new game and turn basically all the addons off.

Bow door problem!
Sometimes the bow door can act up. And won't shut itself back up. I have no clue why it does this but if you give it some time it will close very slowly. I think it has to do with having low physics. I will make a new system in the future

Specs:

Length 125 m
width 16 m
Speed 34 knots

FYI you have to spawn with the add-on editor BC when spawning from a custom workbench it just breaks

What is your next ship going to be?:)

@valentingaming2023 thanks :) well the problem lies with using rocket booster whit -fuel and the ship is pretty long and tall thats why its feels like that. I dont know any other way to make the ship more stable. other than making the ship go deeper into the ocean witch is something I am doing with newer ship I build.

Hi OdinAastein,

First off, thanks a lot for creating such an amazing and detailed ferry — I really love the design and everything about it. That said, I’m running into some frustrating issues when spawning and driving the Color Line Super Speed Ferry in Stormworks. It feels like there’s weird “moon gravity” or really strange physics that make it hard to control or enjoy properly.

I’ve tried lowering graphics and physics settings, waited for the physics to settle, and even tested on different maps, but the problem keeps happening. It’s honestly making it pretty difficult to fully enjoy what should be a great experience.

I get that this might be a limitation of the game engine or the ferry’s size, but I wanted to check if you’ve seen this before or have any tips on how to fix or improve it? Even a more optimized version or some suggestions would be awesome.

How do you increase the buoyancy of this boat and maintain the draft line?
