dude i literally the same as you, only couple of XML fun times. All documentation you need is the mods themself, just think about what you wanna make, recall in what real mod did you saw similar thing, then open rimpy and target mod directory. Open xml of real mod that similar to what you want, and replicate it. It's how i make all my mods, also you can use frameworks like Vanilla Expanded Framework, they have good wiki on a github. It's all the modding wiseness i have, nothing more left. Also i told you about requirements on a steam page

yes, I use the unofficial update, and sorry for the lack of requirements, I will add them in a bit.
as for adopting, I would adopt the mod if I had the skills, but all I have ever done with rimworld "modding" is change a thing or two in XML and that is it, if you could provide me with the a source from which I could collect the knowledge that is not outdated or from which you learned, then I could adopt it, and I would greatly appreciate it (appreciate the fact that I could continue a mod, and the fact that I have been provided with the source of knowledge)
