Description

LP's Auto Summon is a mod for Terraria that enhances the summoner gameplay experience by automating the summoning of minions. With this mod, you no longer need to manually summon each minion one by one. Instead, just place your summoner weapons anywhere in the configured inventory column (10th column being the default), and the mod ensures that your maximum number of minions are automatically summoned. Additionally, the mod will automatically re-summon your minions after you respawn, ensuring you're always battle-ready.

What's New in 1.3
  • Partial Minion Mixing: Select an entire inventory column (1 - 10) for auto-summoning. The mod summons minions from top to bottom, summoning as many as possible from each item before moving to the next. Place single-summon or multi-slot staffs higher and regular staffs at the bottom to ensure all desired minions are summoned effectively.

  • Mute Summon Use Sounds: Added an option to mute the sound effects when summoning minions from the configured inventory column.

How It Works
  • Auto Summon on Item Use: Trigger auto summon when you use your configured summoning item to fill in the slots.


  • Summoning Weapon Detection: The mod constantly monitors the items in your configured inventory column. If the items are summoning weapons (excluding sentries), it will automatically use them for summoning minions.


  • Adjusts to Minion Capacity: Whenever your maximum minion capacity changes (e.g., equipping new gear or buffs), the mod will automatically summon the appropriate number of minions.


  • Re-summon on Player Respawn: After respawning, the mod will ensure your minions are summoned back automatically.

@do you understand? Thanks for the report! I've actually heard about this issue a couple of times recently. I’m pretty sure the Plantation Staff was working fine when I released the mod, it’s even shown working correctly in one of the showcase GIFs. Something in Calamity mod might’ve changed since then. I’ll take a look when I get a chance and see if there’s anything I can do to fix it.

The mod does not work correctly with the Plantation Staff, for some reason it summons 4 small planters when the limit is 1 planter.

@Theo I could definitely look into it, yeah. That said, I’m pretty swamped with university stuff right now, so I probably wouldn’t be able to get to it until mid-summer at the earliest. Appreciate you pointing it out though!

Been lookin' for a mod that does an auto-summon that's compatible with MrPlague's Authentic Races.
But I can't find any.

Could you maybe make this compatible with MrPlague's Authentic Races?
(the wendigo's ability despawns minions and they don't care to find out why and fix it.)

@danrich13 It’s possible you have another mod that reduces your minion capacity when you take damage. My mod doesn’t include any code that directly despawns minions one by one—Terraria itself handles that automatically when the cap is reduced. Hard to say for sure without more details, though. If you can share what other mods you’re using or how to reproduce the issue, I might be able to help more!

Hello does anyone know why taking damage will cause minions to despawn at random amounts? It doesn't seem to affect just this mod but its much more frequent when using this one.

Hey everyone,

I appreciate you reaching out about the issue with King of Constellations, Tenryu not working properly with my mod. Unfortunately, this particular summoner item is handled differently by Calamity compared to most other summon items in the game, which makes it difficult for me to implement a fix on my end.

I'll look into potential workarounds, but for now, this is a limitation due to how Calamity manages the item. Thanks for your understanding, and I appreciate your support!

there are some mult slot summons that are bugged on the calamity mod, Like 'King of Constellations, Tenryu'

Maybe look into how Summoners UI checks for summons as it shows correctly with that mods how many summons you have and how many more you can have.
