Description

WARNING! this sub contains NO conventional reactor
This sub operates via a faraday artifact in the boom on the front.
Failing to manage the it and it's junctions will overload the grid, kill everyone, and/or leave you stranded without power. You have been warned.

Stats and features
Tier two attack sub
Priced: 15,000 mk
Cargo capacity: 6 Crates
Size: 52x12m

  • 3 Small turret hardpoints
    2 Coilguns pre-installed
  • 1 Large turret hardpoint
    Railgun pre-installed
  • 1 high power discharge coil
    Located on the front
  • An experimental thermal artifact powerplant
By making use of a unique exciter chamber and specially fabricated supercapacitors the Snapback is capable of effectively capturing the electromagnetic pulses produced by a faraday artifact, giving it virtually unlimited range.

However the free energy comes at a cost, despite our engineer's best efforts the electrical components used to capture the pulses still take significant damage in the process, arks quite a bit, and makes a racket on par with abyssal creatures.
Watch the health of the generator and battery percentage carefully, and take immediate action to prevent overvolting.

  • And all three crafting stations
With linked large lockers of course.

In game Description
A custom modification of the humpback that attempts to improve upon it by replacing it's underpowered reactor with an extremely hazardous prototype artifact generator that's only slightly more powerful than the reactor it replaced. The electromagnetic discharges could theoretically augment the sub's existing firepower but is likely more than offset by the additional creatures drawn by the tremendous noise it also generates.

Notes
More faraday sub. Based this one off the Humpback since I figured humpback fans might like a different electrical challenge than just messing with charge rate. Dealing with the periodic pulses of way too much power should lead to interesting solutions.

I'm honored that I did such a good job that you'd be under that impression but no. This is 100% bone stock vanilla.

hey there. i truly wonder, did you, the author, modifiy some files or is it so that an emp blast charges supercapacitors, besides damaging them?
