Peat Field

Description
Fields to extract peat from wetlands, in-game in the form of coal

There are no placement restrictions but these fields should be placed in wetland zones.

Produces a small amount of coal which can be used for local energy production, steel making or brick making.
There are plenty of building mods on the workshop for this purpose.
You will need a large amount of fields to extract sufficient coal for larger scale industrial processes.

In 1929, over 40% of the Soviet Union's electric energy came from peat

Good afternoon. It seems to me too simple a solution to build such a field anywhere. Since there are no swamps in the game, but there are lakes and rivers, it would be possible to make a restriction for the construction of your fields along the shores of reservoirs.

statement about peat in power production is fake, because it is not used in city or industrial powerplants, just almost half of peat that was not distributed as fertilizer used as fuel because it stored too long thats why it then destributed as fuel for small power plants (dry peat burn exctreme fast as dry grass) or for small houses without central heating.
In most cases used coal or wood for power or heat plants, in rare cases oil and rarest in 1929 is gas plants

@Dozed Ah, that's a shame.

@Toast I dont think it's possible, from what I understand the game decides the waste type based on the "factory" output, since it's coal the waste will be mostly construction waste just like coal mines. Eitherway I have disabled waste production for this building

Would it be possible to change the waste to organic instead? My understanding is that peat gets some use in agriculture, and that seems like it'd be a decent way to represent it.

@Zizo From what I understand there are 4 flags

$WASTE_WORKERS_DISABLE - Waste produced by workers just for being at the building
$WASTE_CUSTOMERS_DISABLE - Waste produced by customers (for service buildings)
$WASTE_PRODUCTION_DISABLE - Waste produced from factory production
$WASTE_DISABLE - Dont know about this one

Here I'm only using WASTE_PRODUCTION_DISABLE, I dont want the coal/peat extraction itself to produce waste, but I want the workers working the field to still produce waste

@Dozed Hey!:) So you find a way how to disable a Waste production in building?
As far as I understand it produce 0 when building use no workers. Correct? :)

Update:
- Disabled waste production (workers still produce waste)
