The description of that confuses me;
"With the Pipes mod, you can connect multiple water tanks or ponds without needing power, using only water pressure...."
-- but it lists a water-pump.
A water-pump w/o power need would not feel right.
Since this also seems not-up-to-date, I have to asume, that is the exact mod you are talking about.
Thx for the tip, I try to keep an eye on that.
one thing is the u6 mod pipes if that get updated
Err... isn't that self-explanatory?
Unless you mean, that there's more than two directions for it (left side, right side, front and back)
I interpret them to be bi-directional from back to front and front to back...
I need something sleek.
Base problem is this: If I want to have irrigation from underneath, with giant underground waterreservoires, they are only ever gonna be good for as long as the first layer did not evaporate.
So, in times of drought, I would love to have the opportunity, by pumping water up,(all hidden away neatly), from a pool to a flat layer just below the surface (I know I know: these evaporate more quickly), so that my main water-resources (dam) don't need to be opened for that.
A rather specific concern, but it bothers me, that there is no option for that.
so my pumps is the mec pump with other power req and different input and output pos
also have you checked the high power pump?
Turbines is best placed so its shaft is in the same direction as the water flow see the mods image for example :)
What do you mean by dont write your own code?
you are the only mod author listed here and on some other mods.
Going by that, I had the impression of a good mod author.
+ You also worked with the spiral staircases mod?
That mod and the water power extension are the only two I probably really don't want to do with out (and flywheels, to an extend; as they offer a better alternative early and mid game)
Anyway: much appreciated!
My brain really can't let go of trying to figure out the best arrangement of turbines, in my first giant dam... ^^
3 modes:
open
closed
pressurized.
The last mode would allow it, provided it has power (!), to force water from one side onto the other, even if the water on the input side is lower than the output.
Limitations may apply. (e.g. not more than 3 in additional height? - maybe only 2? - anything else? ... ideally, power consumption should rise, as the difference gets larger, and cease completely / sink dramatically, if there is a positive differential (input>output) )
But, this mod here really ain't it.
I know there's a pump in the base game, but it is freakin huge, and does not really allow for a smooth integration into closed dam structures or underground pipes.
And it's freakin huge! - did I say that already?
Anyway.
This mod does not seem to be it.
But am really enjoying the extension of this. The turbines of that other mod give me lots of ideas (actually got it because of that levee/power block -- a heaven sent!)
^^
