Open the following file in a text editor:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\media\lua\shared\Translate\EN\IG_UI_EN.txt
Edit these values:
IGUI_PlayerText_Callout1New = "HEY!",
IGUI_PlayerText_Callout2New = "OVER HERE!",
IGUI_PlayerText_Callout3New = "HEY YOU!",
only changes what you yell but seems to work in multiplayer, my friends were able to see my custom yells.
Hey, can you do something so that this can actually be translated into other languages?
There are two lines in the "EN" folder now and they don't relate to shouts.
I tried to edit the .lua file directly, but since I use Cyrillic, I need Windows-1251 encoding, but the game displays hieroglyphs.
This doesn't happen when mods have the ability to translate text in .txt files, the classic way
