Mod Manager

Description
The unofficial in-game Mod.io Mod Manager for Timberborn!

Mods/mod manager breaking after updates

When Timberborn has updated their game and the game/mods break, here's a list you can try to make things work again:
- Disable all the mods with mod manager (if main menu does not crash).
- Remove all mods from the Mods folder
- Ask help in the Timberborn Discord

The mod manager is a mod for Timberborn, which adds a simple mod manager in-game. With the mod manager you can easily:
- Download and install mods and maps
- Enable and disable downloaded mods and maps
- Uninstall mods and maps
- Search for different mods and maps using free text or tag filtering, and also sort the search results on different basis
- The mod manager lists any visible mods and maps in the Timberborn mod.io page.

Mod Manager Versioning System
The mod manager features an integrated mod versioning system designed to display the compatibility of mods using a small indicator. This system scans the changelogs of mod files to determine whether a specific mod version will function with the current Game Version. If it cannot find a compatible version, it will indicate that it cannot ascertain whether the mod will work with the current version. Here's the syntax the system recognizes:

MinimumGameVersion: 0.5.0.0
MaximumGameVersion: 0.5.9.9

The `MinimumGameVersion` indicates the minimum required game version. If it matches the current game version, it will be displayed in green. If the game version is higher, it will be shown in orange. If a maximum version is provided, the mod will be restricted to that version. If the game version exceeds the maximum specified, it will be indicated with a red icon.

Issues
If you have any issues with the ModManager join the Timberborn discord and ask for help in the #modding-and-whatnot channel.

Welp, I spoke too soon. Some critical bugs in this that make it hard to use right now. I'm starting to think I have to move back to steam and I don't want to because steam has its own issues.

1) Antivirus flagged this as ransomware because it tried to modify folders in the documents folder. (Timberborn's fault for using Documents)

2) Mods seem to be stuck on old versions since I allowed Timberborn through the AV. I have to go through each in the list to see which are on incorrect versions to manually click update.

3) There seem to be random mods that won't allow me to enable, its totally random and I have no idea why.

Appears to work for me.

Crash on start (before entering the main menu).
Error log shows:
SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
Rethrow as WebException: Error: ConnectFailure (A connection attempt failed...) Same as the above exception.

Probable cause: The mod can't handle the exception when it can't access Mod.io in time, thus crashing the game. Moreover, I've enabled the Windows system network proxy as a VPN to enable access to Mod.io, but the mod doesn't follow the system proxy correctly causing it can't establish a connection with Mod.io.

Possible fix: 1. Correctly handle the exception when Mod.io can not be accessed. (Don't crash the whole game, show a network error instead) 2. Adapt to system proxy service, so I can use this mod. lol

@Kev Would you mind sending me a DM with the error? You can find it in your documents folder -> Timberborn -> Error reports

I only have this and Harmony, I crash on load every time, if I disable this and just leave Harmony I can reach the main menu.
Am I missing something here?

What I mean is : people used to install mods without the workshop know what a mod manager is and what it typically does.

People who only ever use mods through the workshop do not.
