Acadiana/Cajun Flag

Both the flag for the Acadiana region in Southern Louisiana, and the ethnic flag for Cajuns. People who were originally from the French Canadian Colony of Acadia (Of which usually originated from Brittany, France) who were forcefully mass deported from their homes after the British Conquered French Canada during the 7 Years War. They moved down to Southern Louisiana and adapted to the land, the swamps, bayous, heat, humidity, all of it. Where they settled is now known as Acadiana and their culture and even French language (which was dying decades ago) thrives. Cajuns are most known outside of the Gulf Coast for their food, which has been exported both authentically and faux all over the world.

Acadiana is one of the happiest places in the United States, even though there is much poverty, people spend more time with family and friends than the usual and tend the be pretty happy.
