Why is there an option to reduce insanity? Is there some benefit to remaining sane?

We just downloaded both of these and this one is HELLA COOL! Feels less like a Chara now but we kinda like it better this way. Kinda wish Animosity had an interaction for 'em tho.

IDK if it was intentional but uhh the character's insanity meter for me doesn't drain it's super cool but like kinda cracked like that.
