X2 anti missile lasers, one of which shares laser power with the main weapon system.
X8 dual 20mm AA/AM simple autocannons.
Composite armour.
Redundant lift capacity.
70m/s speed.
Basic evasive moves.
Surge protectors and Faraday caged crirtical components.
Demand responsive power plant. (hybrid distributed.)
5 repair bots.
Dual core crosslinked AI, (vanilla-ish, backup flight control not set up.)
Active anti-laser smoke.
Lacks any form of missiles or torpedoes, despite this limitation the Protectress
probably still qualifies as medium level + as regards Neter campaign.
All 4 laser turrets are capable of firing at the same time,
but generally just 1 turret will fire once the laser capacity drops- its a feature not a bug (;
Main weakness: are probably the mediocre EMP protection on the main weapon controls, a lack of backup main weapon LWCs, and a lack of flight capability in the backup AI, and the main weapon shares 4Q/2Q laser power which is less than ideal. Then there is the laser... The defensive setup is very good, the offensive setup is distinctly average )
