Description
After much reflection... I am ready to set out
A fledgling mystic who channels the power of light through crystals, Lioma arrives into SSL! This was a collab between me and [Delta Parallax] for the SSL Jam.
(Her name is pronounced as “Lee-OH-ma” by the way)
Overview
Lioma is a tricky glass cannon sword fighter with an emphasis on unusual setups utilizing her main mechanic, the Crystal Prism.

By hitting Ftilt or Nair, Lioma forms a Crystal Prism which lingers on stage until destroyed by the opponent or Lioma performing specific actions. If she performs an attack while the Prism is out, she will also send a light ray towards it which forms a Refraction clone when it reaches the opposite point relative to Lioma’s position from the Prism or if it contacts an opponent and performs the last attack Lioma did, allowing for some devastating setups if used properly. However, the opponent only needs to hit the Prism once to destroy it, which will also cancel out any Refractions if they haven’t triggered yet. The Refractions also take longer to naturally go off depending on how far Lioma is from the Prism and she is only allowed to spawn one Refraction at a time.

Holding Crouch while the Prism is active will show you where the Refraction will try to go to.

Ftilt and Nair can also be used to move the Prism forward while its active.

Uair is a vertical boost that, on its own, travels a decent distance but has no hitbox. By holding the attack button while using Uair will cause Lioma to teleport to the opposite side of the prism before performing a quick spin attack that knocks away. Do be wary about how far you are from the Prism when trying to do this.
