Valaddar's AGOT Tweaks
This is a personal mod I use to streamline and enhance some of the minor events and interactions in AGOT. Enjoy!

Features
Better Duchy Claims
  • Base Game Functionality
    • If you press a claim on a duchy, you only get the duchy title. You'll need to keep fabricating to get a claim on a county as well.
    • Though I've heard many numbers and theories thrown out, the code clearly shows a flat 18% chance of getting a Duchy claim.
    • In the base game, your Court Chaplain's skill only effects the time/cost to finish the claim fabrication; it does not affect the chance of getting a Duchy Claim.
    • The base game does have a restriction in place that the Duchy must already exist to get a Duchy Claim and if you are fabricating on an evil faith, you will basically always get a Duchy claim.
  • Changes Made by this Mod
    • You can now get a claim on a county, the duchy, or the duchy and the county
    • The % chance of getting a Duchy Claim is modified by many factors, including if you are fabricating on the Duchy Capital, your Court Chaplain's skill, etc.
    • This mod does not changes the other restrictions on fabricating a claim, including the Duchy title having to already exist.

Better Independence Wars Decision
  • The unique Ironborn decision to declare Independence and the Independence War decision available to LPs who declare themselves Neutral during a mega-war now makes the LP independent and triggers a Vassalization war against the LP
    • This changes makes it so that the LP declaring independence gets ticking war score from holding their lands and the Iron Throne has to invade them to get the land back. Ticking war score for the LP for holding their lands will result in a 100% war score after 2.7 years if the IT never tries to invade and take the land back
  • Taking the option to "declare independence" from the Mega-war event will result in a normal independence war where you have to invade the Iron Throne. Make sure to take the Neutral option in the event
  • Declaring independence via faction or by manually declaring the war will also start a normal independence war. Due to the complexities of the mega-war system, doing this via the decisions was the best way to go.
Squire Training is no longer a Character Interaction, but is instead a background event
  • If you are the knight or the squire, you'll get a tray notification of the training outcome.
  • The event fires for every squire randomly every 4-8 weeks and the AI chooses the highest percentage option.

No Duchy Malus
  • Your county vassals won't have a negative opinion of you if you hold the duchy they are a part of
    • This is base-game thing that tries to force you to hold all your counties in one duchy. Since AGOT duchies are very large and your domain limit is very low, this opinion modifier doesn't make sense in AGOT.
