History

C-1
Build Date: 1926
Builder: Northern Locomotive Works
Retired Date: 1959
Numbers: 3750 through 3759
Preservation: Only one have been saved, No. 3758, and there are plans to restore her to operating for the upcoming The Seattle Express Project
Fun Fact: The 4-10-6's were known as "Seattles" on OP&P.


F-2 (outdated)
Build Date: 1946 & 1948
Builder: Northern Locomotive Works
Retired Date: 1960
Numbered 1490 through 1589
Preservation; There are no surviving F-2's.
Fun Fact: Unlike the H-2 Hudsons, the F-2's were also strealined to pull The Portland Flyer until E-Units took over the Train in 1960.

R-2
Build Date: 1941 & 1942
Builder: Northern Locomotive Works
Retired Date: 1958 & 1959
Numbers: 2591 through 3048
Preservation: There are no surviving R-2's
Fun Fact: OP&P is the only railroad to operate most of the 2-10-4's.

R-3
Build Date: 1942
Builder: Northern Locomotive Works
Retired Date: 1961
Numbers: 3049 through 3058
Preservation: Only four have been saved.
Fun Fact: R-3's were copy design of the F-1's, however, the R-3's had 300 PSI of Boiler Pressure instead of 280 PSI.

I-3
Build Date: 1945 & 1946
Builder: Northern Locomotive Works
Retired Date: 1963
Numbers 5080 through 5099
Preservation: Only two have been saved. No. 5043 is currently is being restored to operating condition.
Fun Fact: The I-3's were experimental articulated steam locomotives and they were built shortly after the war. And OP&P was the first railroad to operate the 4-6-6-6, so they decided to name them "Altoonas".
