Europan Eyesight Revised
Check out the 2.0 Beta!
A remake and enhancement of the now outdated Neuroeyes, this mod aims to fix and properly implement some of its dysfunctional features, and to add new ones without strafing away from Neurotrauma's core gameplay mechanics.

Bet You Didn't See This One Coming

Eyes, Eyes and more Eyes

NT Eyes, while re-purposing some code from the original Neuroeyes, overhauls the general features of its predecessor, implementing functioning mechanics (ex: Night Vision, Thermal Vision) and different types of eyes and lenses that may enhance or hurt vision or even cause the recipient to н̵̳̆͆͝е̴͎͛̓и̶̗̙͠с̸̤̰̦͒̀т̵͉̜̬̐̋̄̆о̴̤̦͕̚в̶̲͖̇̈́̋̆с̷̺͍͘т̶͕͙̻̬̓̂̓в̷̧͕̄̏̂͘о̷̢̜͎̝̄в̷͕̥̿͘а̸͓̘͌̑́т̸͖̳̈́ь̴̗̱́̉.

Just What The Medic Ordered

With the introduction of three new surgery types (eye transplant, cataract surgery, laser surgery, bionic upgrade and repair surgeries), come new items related to surgery, recovery or general vision enhancement (that does not mean inventory clutter though). Certain afflictions can be temporarily relieved, or completely treated by performing specific surgical procedures. Eyes can be replaced and upgraded if the crew manages to obtain new ones, either by trade or by "donor extraction".

Gears and Goggles

Due to the integration of Complete Global Darkness for further visual enhancement, functioning night vision goggles are now an addition, as a cheap way to enhance vision in dark. Albeit lacking crystal quality, they do the job, at least for those who can't afford proper eyes.

What's Different From Neuroeyes?
Apart from the new content added, there have been various changes and fixes to damage recognition of eyes (stasis bags now work on them!), as well as more surgical procedures.
Afflictions have been completely overhauled, a lot of new ones were added and eye affliction overlays were deleted (except for essential ones) in favour of colour/brightness changes.
Code and assets have been optimised (a LOT)
Blindness now hurts for real, as you cannot see anything including your inventory, although you can feel your items, objects can still be interacted with, but hovering over them will not indicate what exactly they are.

Compatibility/Requirements
Requires Client Side Lua and C# enabled to work.

Load order shouldn't matter, in doubt load above Neurotrauma.

Compatible with:
Robotrauma
Immersive Diving Gear
Enhanced Immersion (Thanks to aoyamajia)

If a mod is not listed as incompatible then it most likely will be compatible.
Mods that work with Neurotrauma and it's extensions (Tested with Surgery+, Pharmacy, Cybernetics and Symbiosis).

Retro-compatible with Neuroeyes, meaning you can switch without issues.

Better Health UI highly recommended.
Also check out NT Better Scanner and NT Lobotomy

Set your line of sight effect to opaque for intended experience
(Server Settings -> General)
(For singleplayer it can be found in settings)

Incompatibilities
Zoom Key (already included, causes FOV issues)
Complete Global Darkness Reboot (already included and will get overwritten by NT Eyes)

We did our best to not to overwrite/use any functionality from other mods, thus there shouldn't be major conflicts.
This mod may cause minor issues in singleplayer in regards to eye effects due to it's multiplayer oriented nature. Multiplayer works as intended.

As a general rule of thumb, make a backup of your save before adding or removing mods.

Ah yeah, this version of the mod has some broken features, you can switch to the beta version linked above, that has these issues fixed, I am currently back on working on the update

ey dude is the spoon busted? My understanding is you just whack stuff and then you get eyes. I can't use it on the health hud. All I can do is make empty threats to my friends about stealing their eyes in one foul swoop. Also is the laser surgery thingy just for fixing eye damage?

10/10 now we can remember all the eye injection scenes in movies. >:D

Finn_the_human#FixTF2 19.7. klo 8.44
ey dude are you able to use the multi purpose scalpel on eyes or can you only use the precision scalpel?
POSTACI  [tekijä] 13.7. klo 0.51
I honestly don't know rn, I had made an integrated patch a few months ago but I haven't updated this version of the mod or played baro in a while, I am still working on the 2.0 update so this one is getting a bit neglected

is this compatible with immersive repairs? if so, what order should I put them in? I tried using the welding mask and I still retained eye damage when welding.

Oh disregard my comment below, I'll leave it there if it can maybe answer questions of other people but scrolling a bit I realised that I put an oxygen mask on the patient's face, blocking the operation.
