Subtler Default Cubemap

Description
Provides a more subtle texture of the default cubemap in maps where they don't have one, rather than just removing it altogether.

No, it doesn't. It's subtle but it doesn't show in the screenshots I'm afraid. If you want to disable it there's another addon that completely disables the default cubemap by providing a pitch black material. Or just play in lower graphics.
