Features
Add a calendar and date that matches the player's culture, religion, etc. to the in-game date tooltip at the bottom right of the screen.
These calendars move one day at a time, just like the in-game date, and each year begins with a new year based on its own calendar system. For example, the Byzantine New Year begins on September 1st of the Julian calendar, and the Hijri calendar year is 11 days shorter than the solar calendar.
However, these calendars are merely a flavor, and various game mechanics still take place on in-game dates.

Only works on new games.

Calendar details and more[docs.google.com] (Google Sheets)

*Note*
The added calendar is just for flavor and is not historically accurate.
At the start of each scenario, the calendar is set to match the real calendar to a certain extent, but because the in-game calendar (the Julian calendar) does not have leap years, the dates will differ from reality over the course of a few years.
In addition, the following changes have been made to each calendar.
Please also note the following:
  • Hijri calendar
    Odd-numbered months are fixed at 30 days, and even-numbered months are fixed at 29 days.
  • Hebrew calendar
    In the 7th Metonic cycle (19th year), the number of days in the month before the leap month is shorter. The number of days for Marcheshvan and Kislev is fixed
  • Zoroastrian calendar
    Based on the Shahanshahi calendar. Month and day names may not be accurate. No leap years.
  • Indian national calendar
    Based on calendars adopted after 1975. The Epoch is calculated as year zero. No leap years.
  • Coptic / Ethiopian calendar
    No leap years.
  • Persian (Solar Hijri) calendar
    Based on calendars adopted after the Pahlavi dynasty. No leap years.

*Compatibility*
Change only the string "PLAYER_SYNC_DATES_HEADER" in
localization / <Language file> / core_l_english.yml
It is compatible with mods that do not change the above, but will not work with starting dates added by mods.
Compatible with mods that do not change the above, but will not work with starting dates added by mods (as each calendar date must be set at game start)

Sorry for asking here, but may I have your formal permission to keep RUI:Character Updating in https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3239002020 or take a pull request for it? I'll keep update it and add more compatibility if you accept.
Again, sorry for uploading your work without getting a permission.

Any possibility of a Roman calendar for that culture? AVC/AUC would be pretty sick honestly

Excellent mod!Here is my Chinese localization. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3301555586
Can you add it to the description?
Sungseon 2 Aug, 2024 @ 8:00am
I meant it would replace the main calendar.

@Riaman
Adding years is easy, the question is how to determine the date.
Unfortunately it is difficult to simulate astronomical factors in this mod, so the dates have to be simplified to some extent.
I'll try to think about it some more, but I can't promise anything.

@truelove101992
This just adds +753 to the Julian calendar, so I think it can be added.

@kharnthebetrayer
It's not in the plans right now, but I'll see if I can add it.

@Sungseon
Good idea, but the space is small so some ingenuity will be needed.
Sungseon 1 Aug, 2024 @ 1:52pm
if you could make it display on the main calendar that would be great.

Any plans on Zoroastrian?
