AlchemistV2 is part remake, part reinterpretation of the concepts proposed by the original Alchemist character. Now free of their pips mechanic, they have evolved from a character who relies on resources to get in using unpredictable mixup moves to one who uses their magical specials to manipulate the arena, funnel the opponent into difficult positions, and extend and sustain pressure both well before and after a combo. Using their new Magic meter, they can empower their specials and supers to give them new, powerful properties.

While both characters aim to fuse the playstyle of Ninja and Wizard, the original Alchemist was far closer to the Ninja side of the scale. AlchemistV2 aims to sustain a unique balance between rushdown and neutral manipulation that enables a visually engaging playstyle that plays very little like the sum of its parts.
