Description
Adds flight effects to aircraft.

Current effects:
  • Wing condensation
  • Transonic vapor cone
  • Contrails

All effects are calculated internally; as such, they may not line up perfectly with wing performance. Why Digi thought it would be a good idea to distribute his aerodynamics mod the way he did, I may never know.

EFFECTS APPLY TO WING BLOCKS ONLY!
Yes, wing-specific blocks like Digi’s or Consty’s. Effects will not spawn for the Aerodynamic Physics mod, but yeah it would be pretty cool if they did. Unfortunately, I don’t currently have enough time to sort that mess out.

Hi i am a builder tha particularly enjoys making planes with digi wings and "configurable atmospheric drag, which is in my cheap opinion the cheapest way to get a worthy aerodynamic feature in the game.
I put effort to get the exact machinery-behavior I want in 100% vanilla-scriptless style, but there is one thing I cannot find a solution for...
Basically i' need a 0-100% force setting regarding parachutes braking force , in many situations i'd need a fraction of the force the parachute block applies when Open.
Would you be capable to do so?

Does the mod not work with mods like relative top speed then? Because the mod isn't working on my server and I have no clue why.

Does the mod simply not work if aerodynamics are on the server, or does it just not recognize a ship made of armor panel "wings" as wings and therefore doesn't apply the effect?

Looks like the specific issue persists. I am using the classic digi's aerodynamic wings mod, and a speed mod, there are other mods involved but they are likley not relevent.
To be precise with the issue I took a hydrogen power fighter with wings from a position in earth "orbit" into the lower atmosphere and back, it had not atmospheric effects until it entered the atmosphere and gave me a sonic boom looking thing followed by the wing trails this mod advertises. After leaving the atmosphere however the mod aparently bugged out as it displayed a massive version of the sonic boom effect around my fighter which got closer as I slowed down. When I stopped it just kept building and building around the spot where I stopped my fighter until it was threatening to lag out my game even after I deleted the fighter.
I hope I gave you enough info to splat this particular bug.

In that case thanks. I was expecting this to be like every other mod or in some cases entire games I have ever used where any bug no matter how game breaking will never ever be fixed even if reported on and even if it is will take years.
But a same day patch is just excellent.

Eh. Looks like I will have to try this sonic boom mod instead. Because this mod does not stop making high atmosphere con trails when you leave atmo. In fact when you stop it lags out the game.
