Information for Travellers

The Enos system contains one rocky world and one asteroid belt.

The Enos system has no Starport.

The planet Enos is a cold, Desert, Non-industrial, Poor small world with a thin atmosphere – most sophonts will require an oxygen mask to breathe – and no surface water.

Isotopic differences between the planet Enos and the star Kaleshi led to the hypothesis that Enos is a rogue planet that was captured by Kaleshi.

The planet Enos has a massive core compared to a very thin crust. This led to another hypothesis that Enos collided with a smaller planet, tearing off most of its crust and creating the system's asteroid belt.

The planet Enos was settled by refugees from a mis-jumped ship in 477. Unable to refuel they were forced to land on Enos and make the best of a terrible situation. Enos was found to possess large pockets of gas and other petrochemicals. These provided both energy and a small amount of water, allowing the colony to survive.

Enos is considered part of the Sword Worlds Confederation. In 950 Gram imposed a Governor but soon lost interest. Separated from the rest of the Sword Worlds by Jump-4, Enos is only visited by Sword World navy ships or by hardy traders making the long trip via the Bowman arm.

The presence of Sword World navy ships at Enos has led to speculation that a deep space refuelling station may be operating somewhere near Enos.

Enos is governed by an Impersonal Bureaucracy.

Enos is a declared Amber Zone. Barbaric living conditions, no in-system refuelling, and a hostile environment makes Enos a dangerous place to visit. Enos possesses a native TL-4, but imported technologies allows its military to obtain equipment up to TL-6.

The simulation is currently stable, but that might change when running the simulation forward.
