Onimods - Electric Torches and Braziers

Description
Description
Onimods - Electric Torches and Braziers adds electric powered versions of torches and braziers, that require no fuel, only power supply, but produce no usable heat.

About 1.6 game update: I'm in the process of adjusting all my mods to version 1.6, the updated mods will likely be uploaded only after game version 1.6 goes live (along with the new DLC), as I'm using this opportunity to apply some potentially save breaking mod changes that were on hold for some time.

Features
New Buildings: ‘Electric Torch’, 'Electric Wall Torch', ‘Electric Darktorch’, ‘Electric Fungus Darktorch’, ‘Electric Brazier’ and ‘Electric Darklight Brazier’.
All added buildings can be identified on the build menu by the small electric bolt icon on the top-right.

No refuelling: All added buildings require only electrical power to work. Electric Torches mirror the stats and costs of normal lamps, while Electric Braziers cost 10 steel more, and 10 ‘material’ less, than their normal versions.

No heat either: All added buildings also don’t produce any heat, their flames being just a visual display.

Less laggy: As a side effect of removing the fuel need and heat production, the electric version should be less laggy than their normal versions overall.

Royalty DLC support: Electric Braziers counts for royal titles ‘number of lit braziers’ rooms demand.

Ideology DLC Support: Electric versions of both darktorches, and all added buildings share styles with their normal versions (also support styles added by some mods, as listed below).

Mod compatibility
In theory, it shouldn’t have any hard incompatibilities, but drop a message if you find any odd behavior, along with the Hugslib exported error log link (Ctrl + F12), use the "Standalone Log Tool" version if the original one is not working.

Supported Mods
Onimods - Colored Fire: Adds ‘Colored’ versions of added buildings, so you can customize the flames colors (these versions need the ‘Advance light’ research, the one that enables the normal lamps color picking, to unlock).

Replace Stuff (requires Replace Stuff Mod Compatibility): Allows replacing for Electric Torches and Electric Braziers (and other added buildings from supported mods).

Simple FX: Smoke: Mirrors the visual effects used for the normal versions of the added electric variants.

Vanilla Factions Expanded - Empire: Electric Braziers counts for the added royal titles ‘number of lit braziers’ rooms demand.

Stylized Darktorch: Adds electric versions for ‘Wall Darktorch’ and ‘Fungus Wall Darktorch’, and the Ideology styles for all electrical darktorches, both normal and fungal, standing and wall versions.

Dark Ages : Crypts and Tombs: Adds electric versions for the Sepulchral Braziers and Statues, all normal, darklight and bloodflame variants.

ATH's style Draconic: Support for ‘Draconic‘ style.

ATH's style Gothic and Bloody Gothic: Support for ‘Gothic’ and ‘Bloody Gothic‘ styles.

ATH's style Norse: Support for ‘Norse‘ style.

Gerrymon's Nautian Style: Support for ‘Nautian‘ style.

Stoneborn - Dwarven Style Pack: Support for ‘Dwarven‘ style.

Wirehead Style: Support for ‘Wirehead‘ style.

Style Pack - Monkey (Continued): Support for ‘Monkey‘ style.

Vanilla Ideology Expanded - Memes and Structures: Colored fire buildings count as valid fire sources for ‘Fire Worship’ precepts. Support for ‘Eldritch’ and ‘Serketist‘ styles.

Alpha Memes: Styles support for: Support for ‘Hindu’, ‘Kemetic’, ‘Neolithic’, ‘Ocular’, ‘Steampunk’, ‘Cubic’, ‘Flesh’, and ‘Horaxian‘ styles.

Support for more mods is a continuous process, so suggestions are always welcome, since there are many other mods adding new buildings and styles out there!

Planned Updates
More mods additional support is on the works.

RimWorld Versions Support
v1.5: Current version under support, may be updated with new content, check the change notes for more info.

FAQ
Q: Why no heat production?
A: Mostly for the sake of stats parity with normal lamps and other electric light sources. The idea of this mod is to allow the use of torches and braziers as illumination on higher tech colonies for their aesthetics, not to be a buff/improvement over normal torches and braziers (and the expected performance gain over the normal versions is just a happy bonus).
Q: Can you add support for XYZ mod?
A: If you find any mod that makes sense trying to add an ‘electric’ building variant, or that adds new styles for one of the variants base buildings, do leave a comment with a link to said mod and I’ll try take a look!

Likely at some point during next week, since I want to test the new DLC too before pushing the update for 1.6 ( maybe this weekend, if we are lucky)

Ah, makes sense. In that case, since the heat generation aspect of the fires does have a small , but still existing, impact on performance, might be worth suggesting to that mod author adding a mod setting that disable the heat generation too, since it seems to have already have one controlling the refueling aspect (that is a much more performance impacting).

But just removing the heat generation from a building is not a that complicated modding process overall, so it might be worth for you just making a small personal mod that does it, checking on the mod making section on Rimworld wiki may be helpful in that case :cozyspaceengineersc:
(besides the basic setup page, the 'PatchOperations' page would be the likely need knowledge, to just remove the CompProperties_HeatPusher from the buildings you want)

more like the effects that the lights do without the heat XD

the tox lights give a moot buff to nearby colonist that prohit from pollution stimulants but the heat is sadly a problem for my underground colony

No problem! :cozybethesda:
(and if by chance you are just looking for other colored fire torches, I have a mod that adds fully colorable fire for torches and braziers, might be worth checking)

than i have missed something there, sorry
but sadly there are no wall toches ither so i have to look around more, thx for the infos

I'll add that one to the 'to check and do list', but looking at that mod description, it seems their torches and brazier don't use any fuel by default, so unless you want the torches/braziers to go out during power outages, maybe adding support here is not really that needed

@onimorphus
would you consider adding support for the "Torches & Braziers" mod?

@Kasa
I'll add that one to that 'check to add support' list :cozybethesda:
I'm planning to do a 'update support' pass on all my other mods, now that the new one I was working on is released \o/
