Information for Travellers

The Datrillian system contains eight rocky worlds, and one gas giant. The system is devoid of small planetoids and ice bodies, suggestive of intensive mining at some point in the past.

The Datrillian system sits on the Bowman Arm, an important Jump-1 trade route. However there are no Starport facilities available.

The planet Datrillian is a hot meso world – a moon of the gas giant Odin - with a thin tainted atmosphere - most sophonts will require a Vac Suit or similar protection to survive - and a large amount of surface water.

The planet Datrillian has a population of 8,000,000 sophonts, all who live inside a sealed domed city.

The planet Datrillian is ruled by a hereditary monarchy that claims to be descended from the original Sword World colonists.

The planet Datrillian is a non-industrial world reliant on off-world traders to bringing in goods to maintain TL-8.

The King of Datrillian prohibits starship refuelling from the gas giant Odin, ordering passing starships to refuel from the planet or at a primitive orbital refuelling station, where refined fuel costs twice its normal price.

However, with a navy consisting of a pair of obsolete system-defence vessels, the King can do little to prevent clandestine refuelling.

The simulation is currently stable, but that might change when running the simulation forward.
