One of the many versions of the AK platform developed in the 70s, firing an intermediate cartridge this time. The rifle had improved range, accuracy and recoil control, and some of it's variants continue to be used to this day all over the world.
These are all early versions, using wood furniture, which would've been the most common during the Cold War.

STATS:

-Damage->44 (3 shots in close quarters)
-Loaded ammo->30+1

VARIANTS:

-AK-74->Default version
-GP-25->Has an underbarrel grenade launcher, but no semi auto
-AKS-74->Slower draw but one more magazine
-AKS-74U->Faster animations overall, but more recoil and spread

they're basically silent after maybe 50m or something like that

Although I have never personally fired an AK74 (just a Chinese AK47) this is my favorite AK74 mod in the workshop; Goes perfect with:
