LIM Constellation Cetus | Expedition Mothership

As new systems are discovered, new nubula are charted, and new resources located; the Cetus stands at the forefront of these discoveries. Equipped with luxurious lodging for three crewmen, four scientists, and extended lodging for excess crew or travelers, this interstellar vessel is equipped for any long voyage needed of her. With extensive onboard fuel storage, cargo storage both internal and external, four landing pads, and a revolving ring with natural artificial gravity containing four in-habitat science labs to keep the rest of the vessel safe should something were to go horribly wrong.

With an attached Voyager-Class ship, all advanced systems and scanners are added to the rugged Constellation frame. Though this is not detachable as on the Columbia, it still serves as a terrific living and work space for the crew aboard. Though this vessel lacks any recreational room such as on larger exploration craft, it's moreso intended for increased maintenance capacity and fuel economy to go as far and as quickly as possible to where you need to be. You have less room to lounge, but far less time spent getting to your assigned locations making the design a net positive on this front.

As such, this vessel is not capable of flying effectively in an atmosphere and cannot land on planets - like all in the Constellation family. It instead has magnetic pads for towing vessels, debris, and cargo to a safe location in order to inspect it without worry. Though something important to note: this configuration of the vessel has landing pads, not hangar bays. Therefore, the shuttles and fighters attached can easily be damages from external factors. This ship is not able to sustain a battle, and any major damage will completely cripple the vessel.
