While she clearly loves taking a beating, the constant high praise she got from both her sensei and the men in her class over being able to tank those hits better than any man twisted her self-esteem to the point where she feels that she can only be at her "most precious" when she's enduring pain during a brawl.

She's a lunatic, but she's not a murderous one.
