Information for Travellers

The Tarsus system contains five rocky worlds, and two gas giants.

The Tarsus system sits on the important Jump-1 Collace Arm trade route. The Class B Starport provides refined fuel processed from Tarsus’s two gas giants.

The planet Tarsus is an Agricultural, Non-industrial, Rich meso world with a Dense atmosphere and a moderate amount of surface water.

The planet Tarsus is a non-industrial world. It is reliant on goods brought in by off-world traders to maintain TL-10.

Schunamann und Sohn AG (SuSAG) – an Imperial Megacorporation – has a lease on the polar ice cap of the moon Rond.

The planet Tarsus was settled by colonists from Fornice between 450 and 462. Additional colonists arrived including the Tizonian 3rd Lift Regiment in 625. Another wave arrived in 780 from Pavabid, fleeing its newly established Religious Dictatorship. A final wave arrived in the early 800s: Imperial citizens fleeing the Psionics Suppressions.

The planet Tarsus is noted for its tolerance of Psions. SuSAG operates a large psi drug manufacturing plant on Rond.

Although the planet Tarsus has many native species, they lack essential amino acids, resulting in the introduction of Terran species leading to a thriving mixed biome.

Tarsus has a population of 2,000,000 sophonts. Most are engaged in small-scale farming or nomadic animal husbandry.

Tarsus is a Participatory Democracy. The planet is divided into many local constituencies, each sending a representative to the central Parliament. The central Parliament in turn devolves the passing and enforcement of laws back to the individual constituencies. As a result, there are few laws and only a local posse to enforce them.

The simulation is currently stable, but that might change when running the simulation forward.
