Thanks for a detailed response!
Will look forward to any new updates :)
crest-wise,
i haven't looked deep into Mesopotamian & Aegean factions.
from surface, the likes of Apollonia & Cabalis could have more related logos,
while the likes of Athens & Lycia make sense (Greece is less random than Egypt);
currently i'm unfamiliar with Mesop cities though.
someone else is also working on certain Greek faction(s) :)

so for now, i don't have a definite plan for Mesop & Aegean crests.
I have to ask, do you plan to expand the scope of your god/crest mods outside of Egypt and Canaan?
I’m not well versed in Bronze Age period yet, so I don’t even know if Mesopotamia and Aegean have any problems in this regard, but I just adore your work and had to ask :)
Shrines of Athena across Greece also feel more historically correct than Ares.
i mostly focus on existing gods in "myth fitting gods' boosts" mod , making their boosts fit their myth, rather than creating more nametags of a god with random boosts.
Athena is just an one-off special case, as there isn't a good solution of myth fitting gods’ location in Trojan War with current lineup.
other modders might be able to accomplish your suggestion though.
it would be dealing with startpos file which could break some other mods (e.g. faction unlocker),
nonetheless its something i will look into next, both versions will be available :)
