Mars Base Alpha (original version)

This was a welcome home present that I created for our good friend ELMO after his 1 year tour of duty in Afghanistan back in 2010. It was made to bleed off some of the stress that he endured while in a warzone.
It was set up to be played by him and 3 other specific friends (SILKO, EDDIE, JOSH)
There are many, many tanks and other specials in the campaign, and many MANY hordes - this was intentional (as was the spawning of them right in front of you) as we wanted to give ELMO jump scares and to hear him screaming OH MY GOD over and over again - it made us laugh.
I also added different routes through the campaign so that we had some replayability (you may not think that is a good idea)

This campaign is NOT FOR EVERYBODY! - Can't make that clear enough. In fact the general public was never meant to even see this campaign but it leaked by a friend and has since become infamous for being a nightmare to play and also for the finale for being unfinished.
I found it on an old hard disk from an old PC so thought I'd share it here for any old friends to pick up - as well as anyone else who wanted to give it a try.

I have no intention of changing, finishing, repairing it so before you grab this campaign know this...

You probaly will NOT enjoy this campaign unless you have a masochistic and or sadistic streak - like we do.
It may not be finishable as the finale is likely broken
You will likely rage quit and think this campaign sucks (especially if you play it alone)
You will likely get lost in the final map - this was intentional as we wanted to hear ELMO'S anguished cries of frustration - it made us laugh.

We played through it on Advanced difficulty because that was what gave ELMO the rage and therefore made us laugh uncontrollably.

We had some laughs playing this - maybe you will too...

There is a redux version of this campaign that is based on it's sequel (Mars Base Bravo) that fixes almost all of the issues this version has so don't bother subscribing to this if you are easily riled, have no sense of humour and think that this is meant to be a 'proper' campaign, if you read all of the description and still download it then good luck...
