Description
PATROLLING PACK
Don't let them find you.
Have you ever wanted a nextbot that you could hide from? That didn't always know where you were and would find you no matter where you hid? Well, in that case, you should just get a DrG Base nextbot. Or download The Listener nextbot. But hey, you're here, so might as well use these fellas, right?
Unlike typical nextbots, you can actually hide from them.
The nextbots will not conflict with any other nextbots.
The nextbots do not support multiplayer.
The nextbots are located under "Spoon Nextbots" in the NPC menu.
This nextbot pack is most likely going to continue to receive updates, whether that be adding more features or adding more nextbots.

DISCLAIMER
If you want to go in blind and want to find out what the nextbots do for yourself, I would highly suggest you do not read anything below. However, if you were able to infer what they do based on the name and the above text, which I really hope you were, because if not, you might need to work on your critical thinking skills, you'll know what's going on.

The nextbots can get loud. Particularly Depressed and Anger. So maybe... lower that volume.

NEXTBOTS
This pack currently features thirteen nextbots. They all feature the most original names ever created.

Patroltron
Gargitron's patrolling variant. He poses the least threat, having a relatively slow chase and no enraged mode. However, he will be the most aggressive and you most likely run into him the most.

Patrolus
Terminus' patrolling variant. He has a similar chase speed to Gargitron, however he has an enraged mode. On the other hand though, he is less aggressive.

Patrolther
Father's patrolling variant. He has a much faster chase speed than the previous two, but he has a shorter patrol cycle. However, he is also quieter, so don't let him catch you off guard!

Patrolessed
Depressed's patrolling variant. He has a nearly inescapable chase speed, and if he finds you, you're as good as gone. Out of all of them, he has the shortest patrol cycle and is the least aggressive.

Patrolted
Tainted's patrolling variant. He has a longer pre-patrol wait and a shorter patrol time than most of the others, however the catch is that he moves at double the speed.

Patrolger
Anger's patrolling variant. His chase speed is even faster than that of Depressed's, and he has the longest patrol time of all of them at a whopping 5 minutes. However, he has a longer pre-patrol wait and moves extremely slowly during his patrol cycle. This isn't necessarily a good thing for you, though!

Patrolkind
Mankind's patrolling variant. His speeds are the exact same as Terminus, however his pre-patrol wait is longer. In exchange, his chase length is now doubled. Once you're in his sights, it'll be hard to shake him off.

Patrolker
Seeker's patrolling variant. His speeds are similar to Father's, and his pre-patrol wait is quite short. However, he is the only one of the patrolling nextbots to have the chance to not kill you on sight. What a nice guy!

Patrolos
Reminos' patrolling variant. His speeds and times are identical to that of Terminus. However, he can charge, just like his normal counterpart, dealing good damage and giving you a hearty scare.

Scapatrol
Scapa's patrolling variant. Yeah, I know, I ruined the naming convention, but come on, it was too good of a name to pass up. Anyhow, he's a bit of a wild card, with his patrol and chase speeds being completely randomized. He can either be your worst nightmare or a total dud.

Deltroltron
Deltsutron's patrolling variant. He works exactly like Patroltron, but he's faster. He also will only attack you when you aren't looking at him. As long as you keep eyes on him, he'll leave you alone.

Deltrolus
Delminus' patrolling variant. He works exactly like Patrolus, but he's faster. He also will only attack you when you ARE looking at him. If you don't make eye contact, he'll spare you. Paired with Deltroltron, they're a deadly duo.

Nomtrolus
Nominus' patrolling variant. He works exactly like Patrolus, but he's a tad bit nearsighted. He will only attack you when you're within a certain distance of him. You could be looking him straight in the face, but if you're too far away, he won't even know it. Best used on maps with long corridors or large open spaces. In tight and short hallways, he'll be extra dangerous.

BEHAVIORS
These nextbots are simple creatures. So, you're welcome for making them dumber I guess?

Pre-Patrolling
Each nextbot will wait for a set amount of time before beginning their patrol. This gives you time to move to a different spot if you believe you are in danger. Gargitron and Deltsutron are exempt from this, and will begin their patrol cycles immediately. However, the trade off is that they don't have an enraged mode.

Patrolling
The nextbots each have a set patrol cycle they will follow on each map. Depending on how dangerous the nextbot is, their patrol cycles will vary in length. Typically, the longer the patrol length, the less dangerous they are. The shorter, the more dangerous when they find you.

Chasing
Unlike most other nextbots, there is no coin flip to decide whether to attack or run off (excluding Seeker). These nextbots are bloodthirsty, and are guaranteed to attack you on sight. Escape them three times and they won't be very happy about it...

  • None, I will not include in-game pictures of them since there are multiple of them in the pack.

My goal with my nextbots is to, of course, have people enjoy them, but furthermore, inspire people to make high quality nextbots and not just Sanic clones that flood the NPC tab of the workshop. Don't be afraid to make some cool fan work! Currently, one is listed below, as well as a guide on how to make your own nextbot. I hope this list will be able to increase!

@M Affiliates - Lmao you're totally right, completely forgot I even did that. I'll get that changed. You know more about my bots than even I do...
M Affiliates 6 May @ 7:25am
it would change something actually, since iirc patroltron specifically doesn't have a pre-patrol time (to compensate for not having an enraged state)
Spoon  [author] 4 May @ 4:29pm
@M Affiliates - I get what you're saying, but it would not functionally change anything. The pre-patrol time serves as what is essentially a hiding state, and since the nextbot will attack you on-sight, it does exactly what ambushing does. However, if it gives you peace of mind, I'll remove the ambushing function from the bot in 1.3 :).
M Affiliates 4 May @ 7:25am
i just checked and if it reaches its wander goal or the time limit then it can randomly set up an ambush, this can be most simply fixed by replacing the self:Ambush() on lines 244 and 257 with self:Wander()
M Affiliates 4 May @ 7:20am
what i mean is that occasionally when patrolling ends through other means (usually timing out i believe), the nextbot will call the random behaviour routine which can occasionally allow the nextbot to randomly ambush, a simple fix for this would be to replace the self:Ambush() in this function with self:Wander()

@M Affiliates - I see you've got quite the extensive knowledge! However, technically it's not really functionally possible to remove ambushing. The nextbots will always attack you on sight, so any hiding phase is technically ambushing.

@landenlord roblox and nextbot - Hey, you never know. This pack is set for an update soon.
