Has 1309 names reflecting the population Diaspora of the Indian army personnel.

North Indian Pahari (Rajputana, Punjabi, Gujarati, Uttar Pratadeshi, Himachal Pradeshi, Sikkimese) names and North-Eastern (Assamese, Manipuri, Naga, Arunchali) names are the most numerous.

Then comes Nepali (Gurkha), Bengali, South Indian (Tamil, Telugu, Kannadan, Malayalam), Muslim names.

Christian, French and Portuguese names are the rarest.

Below are the ranks which see Active combats and are in use by Indian Army.
