Information for Travellers

The Binges system contains four rocky worlds, and two asteroid belts.

The planet Binges is a waterless meso Hellworld world with no atmosphere. Due to this hard vacuum most sophonts will require a Vac Suit or similar protection to survive.

The planet Binges is orbited by a Class A Starport. The only other source of starship fuel is hard ice on the planet Saturnalia.

The planet Binges is a low population world, with a tiny population of only 700 sophonts, the majority being Droyne.

The planet Binges is a non-industrial world and is reliant on goods brought in by off-world traders to maintain TL-10.

In the early 800s word spread of the discovery of mineral riches in the Binges system. The XTRACT Corporation (XTC) began construction of a Starport in 814. In 819 mining concessions were auctioned and a short-lived mining boom began.

Although enormous quantities of ore were extracted, it soon became apparent that the mineral surveys used to attract investors were fraudulent. Years of legal battles ensued, and by 875 the system was effectively abandoned.

In 1053 Nirkuazh’t – a privately owned Droyne corporation – purchased the Starport, upgraded it to Class A, and began the manufacture of mercantile vessels up to 1,000 tons. These ships are built according to Droyne design principles and are renowned for their economy and high build quality.

The planet Binges is run according to the Droyne caste system. Non-Droyne must hold shares in Nirkuazh’t to have any citizenship rights.

The simulation is currently stable, but that might change when running the simulation forward.
