Here is patch note:
An update has been released for Left 4 Dead 2.
- Fixed several crash and remote code execution exploits.
- Fixed a crash on some NVIDIA graphics cards when shader detail is set to High.
Try using the console command snd_rebuildaudiocache . Don’t close the console window while it does his work, as it will show the progress. When it stops and nothing else happens, type the command quit , then restart and test the game.
This method might do more sound bugs than you had before trying it.
If that method doesn’t help and causes more sound glitches, try repeating what you did with the sound.cache files, what I said before.
I'm getting more crazy every time, this is why I so tied to help you.
If you’re hearing glitches with this mod, like random scary or awful sounds, try unsubscribing from the mod, starting up the game, and waiting for your other mods to load (if you’re not storing them in the 'addons' folder) . Then quit, re-subscribe to the mod, and test it in the game to see if it works.
I play with this mod myself, and I always hear the sound of breaking bones if I take damage even 0.1 HP.
