Information for Travellers

The Singer system contains eight rocky worlds and one gas giant.

The Singer system sits in the isolated Singer Pocket – a group of three systems surrounded by Jump-2 or Jump-3 voids.

The Class C Starport currently functions as a Class D Starport due to damage sustained from the ongoing war.

The planet Singer is a Poor meso world with a Thin atmosphere and a small amount of surface water.

The planet Singer was settled in 562 by a colony ship that suffered a misjump. The colonists came from a number of different planets and chose to settle at different locations around the small seas. These separate colonies quickly grew into competing nations.

The planet Singer is Balkanized: different parts of the planet are under the control of different Governments. There are 12 nations in total, grouped into three blocks – Alliance, Confederation and Neutral.

In 1102 conflict broke out between the Alliance and the Confederation. This has expanded into a world war. The combatants have employed small numbers of off-world mercenaries.

The planet Singer has industry capable of maintaining TL-6. In spite of Singer’s isolation a few bold off-world traders bring in high-tech weaponry to sell to the combatants. This risks possible confiscation or theft, however.

To make matters worse there have been reports of corsairs in the system.

The simulation is currently stable, but that might change when running the simulation forward.
