Simply More Colors

Description
Simply More Colors - More colors for Styling Station, Ideoligion and Mechanoids
This mod simply adds more color choices to the Ideo colors pool and patch associated dialogues to display them correctly.
Inspired by More Ideoligion Colors
(I took the colors defs but I've made my own homebrew patching code.)

Compatibility
Saldy not compatible with More Ideoligion Colors (That said, if it worked, it would just duplicate already existing colors ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
Futhermore any mods which mess with these dialogs could encounter issues :
  • Apparel tab in the styling station dialog
  • Mechanoid coloration dialog
  • Ideoligion symbol dialog

This mod can safely be added to your save files.

Known issues
None, but let me know

Hi even though this mod does allow the colour change of clothes and the ido symbol, it doesnt actually "change" the color in terms of the happiness boost you get from wearing your ideologies colour. that remains as a default colour close to the custom one you picked, so by matching their clothes to the new symbol you don't get the bonus.

@glenchild err i'm not brave enough for that, but my code is open sourced ! Anyone who wants to make a PR is welcome. (Same thing if someone want to add pure white color :P)

@Houmoustache Yes, it is possible that removing colors from their xml definitions cause the interface break.

Something to look at - this doesn't play nice with the heraldry designer in Medieval 2. Not sure how difficult it would be to make it work together.

Would it be possible to add a "real" white? The one's in the game have a greyish tone (and you can actually get real white, but it's not usable on ideology's color idk why). I'm using the one your mod adds tho, but it's still greyish.

For your information, here is the repeating (seemingly in infinite loop) error message on the Debug console: "Root level exception in OnGUI(): System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object[Ref 85C843EF] Duplicate stacktrace, see ref for original--- End of inner exception stack trace ---[Ref AB628371] Duplicate stacktrace, see ref for originalUnityEngine.StackTraceUtility:ExtractStackTrace ()(wrapper dynamic-method) MonoMod.Utils.DynamicMethodDefinition:Verse.Log.Error_Patch4 (string)(wrapper dynamic-method) MonoMod.Utils.DynamicMethodDefinition:Verse.Root.OnGUI_Patch3 (Verse.Root)"

Hi, I tried to use your mod as a replacement for More Color. It was suggested by Mlie's mod Use This Instead . Unfortunately, when I do the switch on my existing save, the UI completely breaks down upon loading my game (only 1 colonist shown in the top left corner, no UI at the bottom, menu opens upon Esc key but help bubbles remain flying around and don't expire). In debug mode, an error message is printing in a loop at very high speed. I spent time to identify the cause of the issue and really narrowed it down to More Color / Simply More Colors.

I believe it is more likely to be caused by the removal of More Color, and probably not caused by your own mod. I just wanted to let you know about this and leave this message to document the issue. For now, I will have to pass on switching mods. But I look forward to using your mod for my next colony!

Does this tell you the name of the color when you hover the cursor over it? ie to find carpet to match bedrooms/shrines?
