This is a patch to the library of scripts utilized by JP mods.

fixes issue with galaxy navigation failing on superhighways.

changes from using jp.lib.movetosector to the games native move.generic functions.


might break other functionality. let me know if it does.

2024.10.01 edit: this should work for both nexus mods and steam workshop downloads.

I'm thinking something with 7.5 broke this modset again.

My explorers especially (all of the mods in the family are having issues but I use explorers A LOT) keep getting stuck in a "calculating parameters" loop while trying to fly through any gate and/or accelerator to a sector they don't already know about and the only workaround I've found is to use a forced Explore command to get them through the gate and then cancel it once they're through the gate that has them stun-locked

To add onto what shilum_nehum said, ships heading to idle still use move to sector. My work around is to tell it to idle >dock at station with no station specified. It will find the closest station to dock and idle at.

That works ok, but not great.

Also, the auto salvage still gets REALLY confused with XEN ships or if a ship is no longer there. I would love to see it send out a boarding pod and then give up at some point.

Hi @The_Mr_Butters, I still have this issue with ships that doesn't want to take the highway, I'm using the modpack "The Ultimate X4 Singleplayer Experience [6.20]/[7.x]" so there may be other mods that conflicts with yours...
I'm also having a trouble where my ships don't go into travel mod on their own.
For both case I have to cancel the current task and the new one will work perfectly.

Is this only relevant to the movetosector command? In other word can I continue playing without this patch if I do not use the command?

@shilum_nehum. I will do some testing to see if I can replicate it and determine root cause. Thanks for letting me know.
