Update Dec 3 2015: Now for Shipwrecked!

"The world used to be normal until they changed it. I must put a stop to these invasive projects before they destroy even more homes. Yip."

Check out the multiplayer version here.

This mod adds Zinnia as a playable character for base DS, RoG, and Shipwrecked. She comes with her own hammer, and has custom dialogue.
She also has a custom voice that can be configured in the mod's configuration options.

Stats
- Hunger: 200
- Sanity: 75
- Health: 150

Zinnia is an insane, energy-consuming fennec fox from a mechanical world. She loves to destroy and gains sanity when breaking structures. She can make her own hammer, called the Dismantler. It can break structures faster than a regular hammer. It also can mine rocks and chop trees, but not as effective as a pickaxe and axe. The dismantler is also very effective against clockwork monsters.

When Zinnia is insane (less than 25 sanity), she has a chance to accidentally break chests and other objects when interacting with them. This will still increase her sanity as though she breaks it intentionally.

Zinnia dislikes a lot of sharp things. She has a slight sanity drain when holding an axe, pickaxe, spear, or any other pointy tool. To avoid sanity drain, try to keep these things put away whenever not using them. Additionally, Zinnia can lose sanity using sewing kits, attacking with blow darts, picking thorny plants, or getting stung by bees.

Zinnia loves glowing things. She gains sanity and health from eating fireflies, light bulbs, glow berries, and bioluminescence. These are very useful for restoring stats while in the caves. Also, the miner hat, lantern, morning star, and dwarf star give her sanity.

Hey, with the upcoming bugfix update to the game, will you be coming back to this mod to make sure it keeps working? I would love to keep playing this character moving forward, it'd be really sad if it just remains outdated.

That's really about it. Everything else works okay, and I'd say she's almost fully playable. It just would be amazing to see her get updated for this DLC, as there are a lot of features that sync with her perfectly, like glowflies being an early source of light bulbs, the amount of smashables around the world and the possibility of making her react to the vampire bat swarms with the whole "Sky monsters" thing. Also, sorry for the double post, the 1000 character limit kinda made me need to do that. I just hope my post can help you update this character in the future, if you get around to it.

I got pretty far into a run in Hamlet while using Zinnia and even reached the Aporkalypse, so I got to see how she interacted with a good part of the DLC. I'll make a sort of bug report of sorts here, if you don't mind.
The lack of custom dialogue can sometimes look fine or weird, like when examining a Centapiece oinc.
She seems to not lose sanity while holding sharp tools at all, not even spears, so that part of the mod isn't working, however she seems to acknowledge when a tool is sharp, as holding a Halberd makes her mention she hates holding it.
She does restore sanity for breaking some structures, but not all of them. Gnat Mounds restore her sanity when destroyed, for example, but breaking pots doesn't.
There also appears to be a few animation glitches. Her face disappears completely while using shears and facing downwards, also while being heavy from the Hamlet fog and while sneezing from the Hay fever. She also doesn't hold a row when using a boat.

Well I tried her now and she does work in Hamlet, however she doesn't have full compability. Holding something like a Machete doesn't lower her sanity, for example, and obviously almost all dialogue lines are defaulted to Wilson's dialogue. I think she would take quite a bit of an update to retain her original feel within Hamlet.

Does this work with Hamlet? This is probably my favorite character and it'd be a shame if I can't use her there.
