Description
Updated from the original with permission.

So far only lightly tested so let me know if something hasn't survived the update.

Original description below, any edits by me are clearly marked as such.

This mod adds 2 new Xenotype races and 14 Genes and 1 Enemy Faction for rimworld Biotech.
Requires Biotech to work obviously.

The Mod adds 2 Fictional races of Lions and tigers to rimworld as a tribal- annoying Xenotype, they move fast have great AP ability with melee and Burn real well, I recommend 40K mods available in the workshop to counter them.

The Leo are a genetically spliced race of nomadic lions, adapted to thrive in savanna climates. Their golden fur and muscular build make them well-suited to withstand the intense heat and dry conditions of the savanna.
As a tribal culture, the Leo prioritize cooperation and strength. They rely on their physical prowess and hunting abilities to survive in the harsh environment, and have developed a deep respect for the balance of nature. They are skilled at tracking prey, and are able to take down even the largest of animals with their sharp claws and powerful jaws. The Leo value honor and loyalty above all else, and maintain a strict code of conduct within their tribes. They believe in earning one's place through strength and skill, and those who prove themselves in battle or hunting expeditions are highly respected. However, they are cautious of outsiders and will not hesitate to defend their territory and way of life against perceived threats.

The Tigris are a genetically spliced race of nomadic tigers, possessing traits that allow them to survive in colder climates. Their thick fur provides insulation against the cold, and their sharp claws and teeth make them formidable hunters in snowy terrain
As a tribal culture, the Tigris rely on their communal bonds and hunting prowess to survive. They are skilled at tracking prey and using all parts of the animals they hunt, from the meat to the bones and fur. Their nomadic lifestyle allows them to follow the herds and avoid over-hunting in any one area.Despite their fierce appearance and reputation, the Tigris place great importance on hospitality and respecting their fellow tribe members. They are fiercely loyal to their own kind, but are wary of outsiders and will defend their territory and way of life at all costs.

Unfortunately there is more, The mod Adds Several new genes to mix up your rimworld experience.

Does it make them OP? I don't know-
And I don't care!

Q&A
Q: Does this work with any version of RimWorld?
A: It requires Rimworld version 1.4.
cyanobot: 1.4 or 1.5

Q: Is this compatible with CE?
A: Due to the advanced C# code, no. (maybe someone might make it compatible then it will be linked here)

Q: Do these Felines spawn as enemies?
A: They can, As part of the rough Feline tribe that you can turn on or off at the start of the game.

Q: How Do I play as the Cats?
A: You can modify your starting pawns using the Xenotype editor or Capture them from the hostile tribes.

Q: They Seem a little Over powered?
A: Ya maybe, Seems a bit much people rely on sniping pawns form miles away, if you still want to cheese them I recommend using fire :D .

Q: Your art sucks.
A: Aw, I worked hard on it, Well It's a good thing you will be looking at the sprite art in game.

Q: No, the sprite art is what I mean.
A: D: .

Q: Do Enemy pawns also use the Nine lives Gene?
A: Yes It will be real fun.

Q: Is this mod save game compatible?
A: Yes, add it to an existing save But would not recommend removing them .

Q: Can I request something to be added?
A: Yea, always open to suggestions.
cyanobot: Since the original creator is not currently maintaining this, I assume they are not taking suggestions. I will attempt to fix bugs but am not currently looking at adding to or changing the content of this mod.

I'm sure Something We overlooked might / will break so when it does please let me know in the comments down below.

@Fenrir
I've not continued that one. I could potentially take a look at it in future, but no commitments at least until I've finished updating my current mods to 1.6.

Fixed a bug with the Adrenaline gene that prevented bonuses from accumulating (unless there was exactly one pawn with that gene active and ticking).

Also capped the bonus at +100%, as a technical limitation.

Unfortunately this means that pawns who are benefiting from adrenaline at the time of the update will lose their current bonuses. If this is crucial to your save you can fix it with dev mode -- bonus is now equal to hediff "severity", rounded down to the nearest 10%. Hmu if you can't figure out how to do this.

Fixed: missing faction. (Yes, one, there is no tigris faction and never was.)
Sorry this took me so long to get to despite being a small thing.

@Rubika
Looks like this issue fell off my to-do list, I've re-added it. Thanks for the report.
Rubika 25 Nov, 2024 @ 9:30pm
Not sure if you're still updating this, but I'm having the same issue with factions as the previous guy. Can create Leo/Tigris pawns just fine but the factions do not appear in the list of factions when starting a new game.

Weird thing is though, I'm using your Snow Leopards/Jaguar extension and that seems to have the factions appear just fine.

More Faction Interaction (Continued) and Faction Control. However like I said when I tried with just this mod active it still wasn't working properly, so hopefully there aren't any issues with other mods haha
