Description
Badmoon Bog has been reawakened from the dead into Fusion...

This is a Fusion remaster of the original 2013 Badmoon Bog campaign for SS3: BFE, featuring an extended second level with expanded horror parts. Like the original campaign, it's experimental in style, with plenty of custom assets and sounds, and a more survival horror type of story and gameplay.

You find yourself lost in a creepy bog with night falling soon, and with nowhere to go, you spy a cabin in the distance. Is it really safe to stay the night? The bog is rumored to be haunted, with visitors receiving strange visions at night...

Features:
- Expanded 2nd level...
- New survival horror segments, with some surprise encounters
- Updated graphics from the original, with added lightmaps, better lighting and texture improvements
- Updated and added sounds and music in places
- Some smaller gameplay fixes
- If you didn't play the original - the campaign is slower paced overall, with player and enemy speed adjusted for a slower style of gameplay.

The campaign can be fairly scary and gory, inspired by Amnesia: The Dark Descent, especially in the 2nd level - so be warned :p It was designed for Normal difficulty, but you can play and complete it on harder difficulties including Serious - enemy encounters may just take more preparation with the slower gameplay. Tested in multiplayer and it should work, recommended to set enemy health higher or use an enemy multiplier for larger player counts. But it's primarily designed for singleplayer so immersion may suffer a bit.

Recommended to be played with default sound settings! You will need to have music/sounds on to hear certain enemy cues. Color/brightness settings are also best left at defaults - the map is intentionally very dark in places, but there should be enough light to see what's generally going on.

Yeah but that'd take a lot more time and effort to make, this was the easiest solution to make in a shorter amount of time. Maybe if I redesigned the whole thing I'd go for something like that.

I think it would be way better if you reprogrammed to grunt and brute to be NPCs that pursue you (rather than just scripts that instant kill you), and then you can hide from them so they’ll lose interest and go away.

Ty for the comment, yeah the enemy detection could still be improved, it's not entirely precise but there are some intended spots the player is supposed to hide in, I could make it more obvious somehow and add more safe spots.

A very unique map pack indeed. I never thought I would see a stealth horror section in a Sam game. But I have a minor complaint about said section. The stealth is half broken.

There’s been multiple times where I was hiding behind cover and the grunt still noticed me. Same with the brute. This led to some rather frustrating moments.
