Inland Emplacement M1917 "Queen's Hand"

Found guarding those locations most valued by the Imperial Pydrinckian Navy, the M1917 type fortifications combine a quartet of heavy anti-aircraft guns with a number of lighter machinegun posts, providing both long and short range coverage to their charges. Heavily built with multiple redundant command posts and a number of spotlights to allow the tracking of multiple targets, they form the core of many cities' air defence, acting as an unshakeable anchor for more expedient positions assembled around them. Though this eventuality has not yet come to pass, should one of these forts ever be stormed by hostile forces they are designed to maximise casualties in the assault, their gun crews with expensive automatic weapons, the best body armour that Navy funds can provide, and even a reserve stockpile of explosive charges; should should they be at risk of falling under the attack, their armaments and ammunition may be scuttled to prevent capture. For this reason, only the most loyal of the empire's artillery crews are ever staffed to such postings, expected to fight to the last.
